  1. There is no recommended amount. It is whatever you feel is appropriate. No one on the forum can answer for you.
  2. Prices and promos fluctuate and it takes more effort to find a good deal. My June 2022 cruise was actually less expensive than what would have been a June 2020 cruise that was booked pre-pandemic. Once people burn through their 125% FCCs and all of the cruise lines start to get back to "normal", prices should stabilize a bit. Yes, things are more expensive all over but decent prices can still be found.
  3. Once again, MSC is consistent in their inconsistency. On my last 2 MSC cruises (March and June), everything was replaced at no charge. Actually, we got extra (2 at a time) Toblerone and Pringles and were never charged. Granted, we have 2 children so that might be a factor. We never saw the charge. The items we ordered at the Jungle were never charged. Venchi was charged (it wasn't on Seaside back in 2018) but it wasn't enough of a charge to worry about. The included chocolate on the pillows at night was the same stuff that was for sale at Venchi. I can't complain. 😁
  4. Are you using "WITH YOUR MSC ACCOUNT" when you login or are you using "WITH BOOKING NUMBER"? You'll get more info/options with MSC ACCOUNT.
  5. You can all use the cabana....if you all want to cram in together. As for breakfast, there were 4 of us in the Mera RS and although the table isn't huge, it is possible for 4 to eat breakfast on the balcony. The butler will have no problem with setting up for 4 even though only 2 are staying in the RS.
  6. You test again during the first week. They announce when the testing is scheduled and the B2B people go then.
  7. ....what happens when you don't tip the butler?....🤪
  8. I believe that they decided on calling it The Venom Drop @ the Spiral but I have no idea if there is any marketing involved with the comic book characters.
  9. The NCL deck plan has the " - PrivaSea" symbol in many places where it doesn't belong for Joy. That symbol is for the partially enclosed balconies directly under the bridge (13108/13708). 14256/14856 (where the ship bumps in under the kart track) is not enclosed. It's actually a "larger than standard" balcony because it is deeper on one side.
  10. The booster requirement depends on where you are sailing from/to. It is currently not required on Caribbean sailings from Miami (my Seashore cruise last month).
  11. Ours was much older than 6 months and there was no problem. The booster requirement depends on where you are sailing from.
  12. The deck plan is just drawn that way. 9350 is the same size as 9352 as far as the interior. The balcony for 9350 is deeper on one side than the other. Imagine a right triangle drawn on top of a rectangle.
  13. Assigned but not enforced. You watch a video at a certain time, call the number when asked, head down to the muster location when asked and have your card scanned. Just do all at the terminal including taking your picture. I didn't see any but there is mid-week testing if doing a b2b. Most (other than staff) are not wearing a mask. Answers are based on a Caribbean cruise last month.
  14. When it comes to little Easter eggs, don't you just love ¿ᴉɹǝᴉʇuɐɔuᴉℲ
  15. The dividers help to slow/prevent the spread of fire. They have the ability to open to allow firefighters to get to the fire without having to chop their way through. Other lines are willing to take more risk. NCL used to also allow dividers to be opened under certain conditions. When guests were denied while other guests were allowed, the denied guests complained. NCL decided on a blanket "no open" policy. Are there some stewards who will open them in hopes of getting a tip? Yes. Are there some guests who will open them on their own? Yes. Should they be opened? No.
  16. I agree except that all that I had to do was ask. Perhaps there will be some response to the feedback and the pergolas will either be given a cover or MSC will go back to cabanas.
  17. NCL dailies state that balcony dividers are not to be opened for guests to "double up". The dividers serve a safety purpose and are only to be opened for emergencies and maintenance.
  18. On BA/GA, the aft-facing suites (other than decks 11 and 14) have the same master bathroom setup.
  19. Even the "worst" aft-facing suite is still sweet. 😊
  20. Deck 13 has the smallest aft-facing balconies and you still enjoyed lounging. Imagine being on a huge balcony such as deck 9 or 12.
  21. If you want the largest balconies, you want some of the aft-facing suites. For me, nothing is lost by being at the opposite end of the ship and a few decks down. Others may feel differently. Having 2 full bathrooms with a large balcony is better for us than the 2BR Family suite that's located within the Haven enclave. Personally, I would book directly instead of bidding. I'm particular when it comes to balcony size and stateroom configuration of the aft-facing suites.
  22. I agree. Also, 8136 (port side equivalent) is bed near closet. It is surrounded by bed near balcony on both sides.
