  1. Sometimes the bartender will try to make sure they can see your husband in the lounge, just to make sure you're not trying to hoard I guess. But in general this is not an issue at all.
  2. The nonsmoking casino kicked out the arcade, and the arcade kicked out the thrill theater.
  3. That's not going to stop the same question being asked another 4 or 5 times before the next moon cycle.
  4. That legitimately looks like an advertisement from Golden Corral.
  5. You can watch some ceremonies online. Usually it's done down where the ship's mooring lines are at the aft.
  6. I'm firmly convinced Carnival ships will be the last places on Earth where indoor smoking is still permitted. When they finally ban it, they'll introduce the first open-air casino on their open decks.
  7. In the past, even the near past, smokers were tolerated by non-smokers and so smoking was allowed. But that is very quickly changing. We've seen the number of smoking areas go way down from literally half of the ship to now just the casino and one or two small outdoor areas. Even with that, there are a lot of people who refuse to go to Vegas or a mass market cruise line because of the smoking. At a certain point, Carnival will be alienating more people by allowing smoking than by banning it. The question is where is that inflection point.
  8. Carnival has never "issued" or "given out" tumblers that I am aware of. They have them for sale.
  9. yeah people setting up ***** accounts after something like this never helps their case. Makes it feel like a grift.
  10. They are a little more lenient when you bring on a small amount of water with your CPAP. But yes - by the rules, that isn't allowed.
  11. I read a story the other day about a "Tesla battery" that exploded in someone's house nearby a few weeks ago. It was the 12V lead-acid battery that they brought in to charge, and they overcharged it. Your lawnmower's 12V lead-acid battery will explode if you overcharge it. They made sure to point out it came out of a Tesla for clickbait. Similarly, had the story just said two young women were roofied and assaulted in the Bahamas nobody would read it. But since they were there on a Carnival cruise, it gets clicks.
  12. Not that I am aware of. You can buy digital photos individually in the Hub app on ships so equipped.
  13. This is a wishlist so anything is up for discussion obviously. But I know that once JH wanted to tour a Carnival Corp ship while in port one day. He was not allowed as he was not on the manifest. Very strict rules. Just keeping expectations in check.
  14. The only time this is allowed is on turnaround day with very specific circumstances. The visitors have to be escorted at all times etc.
  15. Actually, that is victim blaming.
  16. My guess is the Thrill Theater is as good as gone - the nonsmoking casino brings in much more revenue obviously.
  17. Pretty sure it's just Excel class and Vista now at this point.
  18. There are drink menus available on the internet with a simple Google search. You mentioned Celebrity but this is a Carnival forum, btw.
  19. Nothing is delivered to your stateroom anymore, you have to take it upon yourself to find these gifts.
  20. Yes definitely stay together, don't wander off on your own, and stay in the tourist areas.
  21. You can bring on your own distilled water as long as it is sealed and brought on with your CPAP. The charge for distilled water is detailed on Carnival's website. It costs them something so it's reasonable to have to pay in my opinion.
  22. Nearly all cabins on DCL are connecting. I don't necessarily believe that the connecting door is to blame for noise issues.
  23. Those are mostly Norovirus precautions, not COVID.
