Seafood is never “fresh”. Federal,law requires it to be frozen to a certain temp, and held at that temp for a period of time before being sold to eliminate “bugs”.
I applaud NCL for being proactive. Without seeing your letter or email it’s impossible to say why they made that assumption, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
We have cruised both Silver Sea and Regent in Alaska. I would never sail a mass market line there. With the mass market lines port times are too short, and you miss the best stops. If you can afford it Silver sea is the way to go.
That is a check in time. Boarding will begin around 11:30 for people who are not in the Haven, or do not have status, or need disability assistance. All of those go first, then the masses begin to board by groups.
