  1. This just reaffirms my decision to not cruise until all these protocols go away. The thought of being in a lesser quality cabin and getting crappy food while paying for that privilege makes me give cruising a hard pass. Along with the possibility of masks being required again and having to test. Just not worth it.
  2. Those are great. Very creative. @reallyitsmema I hope everything turns out so that you can go and not worry about your Mom due to her being ok. @Mrs. H. Hello, my name is Karen, we live in Florida and have 2 dogs and 4 cats currently. The newest addition to our home is Samantha the Maine Coon cat.
  3. Since anyone with covid, vaccinated or not can be contagious I would think that you would be concerned about either population. Good luck on that test since I have been reading a lot of posts stating that people tested positive even though they stayed masked and away from other people most of the time.
  4. This is just an idea for in the meantime. It has worked for me and a few other people but not for everyone. I have arthritis in my knees and my hands. Now I take Celebrex and it helps my knees. Before I had that prescription I got relief using rosemary oil. Just rub a little in. I still use it when I have been knitting all day and my hands start hurting. I have also used Voltaren gel but I find the oil works better.
  5. They should let people stay in the cabin they have. We won't be cruising but if we did it would be with a large quantity of OTC drugs and would not go to medical unless it was dire.
  6. Sadly there are probably some people doing that.
  7. Well Carnac says "your guess is as good as mine" Just when you think the protocols will go away, here comes masks, more testing, more quarantining. There could be the next millionth variant and the 20th booster needed by then.
  8. What I am scared of is spending money and making all the arrangements at home to be gone only to have a less then enjoyable time. Especially when there are alternatives available. We have been living our lives and haven't had to deal with any protocols for over a year now and I sure don't want to on a vacation. Enjoy your cruise.
  9. Samantha and I wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day. P.S. She broke her princess tower this morning so she has to sleep in a chair until her replacement comes. LOL
  10. I think the bottom line is - do you want to pay for a vacation where you can end up in a lesser value cabin, at the mercy of room service, with very little to do for days on end. I know I don't so we will stick with driving vacations until all these protocols are gone.
  11. Probably caught it in the bus. Highly unlikely the cabin attendant could spread it. The virus does not work that way. If the bus made you uncomfortable you could always have gotten off before the excursion started.
  12. That is not a gopher tortoise. It is a yellow bellied slider. Gopher Tortoises are protected and considered a keystone species and very protected in Florida. See below for a picture.
  13. Plus, we have vaccines and therapeutics that were not available at first. Where we live things are back to normal. Occasionally you will see someone wearing a mask. We just got back from a land vacation and other then a handful of people wearing masks it was business as before. Crowds, no mask mandates, no testing, no vaccination requirements etc. It was a lot of fun.
