  1. Be honest....your summation comes from the past 14 threads on the subject (in the past 2 weeks) doesn't it?
  2. Congrats for being part of the 'good 50%'. About 1/2 seems to be down to earth, and a pleasure to be around. Nothing more disappointing to us than being talked down to, and then when some discovers our status, they attempt to make us part of the group. They tend to be a bit embarrassed (as well as pull in their chest and pin)...we get a good chuckle out of it.
  3. Be nice if the cruise lines could avoid that dump and go elsewhere, but with their ships going to the private islands, the Bahamas has played their cards well and has them in a bit of a pickle. Nicely played overall.
  4. Plenty of that as well. It'll all play out nicely in due time.
  5. We've seen it as well, and simply acquired a couple unused chairs ('saving seats' is discouraged). Found a couple looking to use the lounge, gave them our seats, and re-acquired a couple more. Staff is hesitant to help (somewhat understandable), so we'll gladly do our part.
  6. On vacation, on a cruise, if you don't judge/access someone based on their actions, what in the world do you suggest? In a similar scenario, do you defend a confirmed chair hog, being that 'one person' that feels they may have fallen overboard and thus unable to return to the pool?
  7. Not sure why you basically repeated my post, but agree.
  8. Seems like attempting to use the 'entitled' portion would be a proper statement as well.
  9. In your opinion and/or attempt to stir-it-up.
  10. It is generally a quiet place. And all pax accessible locations on the ship are 'safe', regardless what one comes up with a definition for that term.
  11. Phoenix was playing for the week on one of our CL experiences. Outstanding 70's/80's rock back to go along w/ our favorite suite room. That being said, we still rank the YC experience above it....and at significantly better cost. Afraid those two markets will even out at some point, and pretty sure it won't be due to a reduction in CL fares lol.
  12. The problems at home haven't been ignored....they've been welcomed. No blame game to pass around.
  13. We aren't going to make it that long, and surprised you are. We're hooked.
  14. They won't even check for a pulse....
  15. Indeed. We can count on one hand the meals we actually thought we're subpar. We've only been on 70 or 80 cruises, so waiting for the 'other shoe' to drop any minute.
  16. Don't do MSC Yacht Club....good chance you'll be ruined. Blew away anything we've ever done, including CL's on Royal. Our anticipation for Pinnacle in the near future just had the brakes applied in a big way after our YC experience last week.
  17. Your husband sounds like the description my wife gave of me....in addition to 'kid at Disney' lol. Truly an unbelievable experience. So much for making Pinnacle in the relatively near future.....that whole apple cart has flipped after the YC.
  18. That's for sure...you get like 10 butlers. Every where you move, their assistance is immediately available if desired, whether they are your personal butler or not.
  19. Quite the extreme for us: Sailing outside of YC, we'd choose several other lines ahead of MSC. If were doing an upper suite, we'd choose MSC YC before RC/Carnival/Celebrity.....MSC YC experience is superior.
  20. That is indeed the understatement of the year. Appreciate the info leading into our first YC experience George. I believe we have a new go-to cruise line for upper suite cruising...simply unbelievable.
  21. Well, just off the Yacht Club experience. Thanks for putting us at ease going in...it was our first MSC experience. We believe if the YC isn't good for a cruiser, cruising is definitely not for them.
  22. Different perspectives are so interesting. We love Freedom and Voyager class ships, yet tend to choose Oasis class ships as they feel so much more open/less crowded. Who knew that food wasn't the only subjective discussion.
  23. Symphony has 102 suites (not counting junior suites). Based on a min of double occupancy, that's 204 guests for CK (in addition to pinnacles and js based on availability) that they're attempting to accommodate. Seating capacity is 135 in CK. If they allow each suite to bring one extra (child, friend, mother's cousin who knows this guy, etc), 204 guests quickly becomes 306 guests, and pinnacles and js folks are eating in the MDR or at the trough. Worth asking (as mentioned above, $100/$200 may help), but would understand if they weren't real excited to accommodate.
  24. Cool...went from cruising to commenting on cc. Sounds fun.
