  1. We book cabins mid ship & always wind up eating on deck 5 or 6 since there's no difference in the food or service most nights.
  2. My friend took video's on the Enchanted last Feb of the complete dinner. They weren't told not to and not a word was said. I suppose different ships have different rules.
  3. I'm thinking that with all the problems associated with trying to list all the Princess ships I'll just make up a spreadsheet for the specific ships we're interested in for the fall & spring season. It's still time consuming either way.
  4. We haven't been on the Ruby since 2009, sailing mostly Royal class ships, so this should be an experience returning back to a grand class ship.
  5. For the purposes of just seeing where the individual ships are scheduled to go, it doesn't make much difference. I'm still looking for a web site where I can import the info into an Excel spreadsheet without having to do it manually for each ship. The most important thing is the departure & arrival dates and which ports they intend to visit.
  6. That's a little harsh. We've spent many cruises on Royal class ships & could never classify them that badly.
  7. Don't I recall that NCL now offers single cabins. ???? Maybe it was another cruise line???
  8. I forgot about those 4 day trips where people spend like crazy. πŸ˜„
  9. I can't see how that would make much difference in savings since the cost of the port stop is passed on to each person.
  10. Well they haven't weeded us out yet, only made me think of various ways to circumvent all their extra charge items and still enjoy our trips without having to spent extra thousands to cruise.
  11. As you said, something has recently changed on the Royal class ships. Last year it was working on the Enchanted, but in March it was not. Saying that, we could feed our hard drive to watch our movies directly to the TV using the method described by GJCruiser , so all was not lost.
  12. Not to mention how many people they'll discourage from sailing Princess in the future.
  13. It's difficult to know which comedians or singers will be good, so we always arrive early to get an aisle seat. This way we can bail out when the show is bad and not disturb everyone. ☺️
  14. Thanks. Prior to Starlink, streaming was only possible in the middle of the night.
  15. I don't know but it was the handiest way to keep track of future cruises for sure. I was in the process of making my own but the amount of work is staggering, even for the ships I care about. There's got to be an easier way.
  16. That will work for any dinner on the ship for either casual for formal nights. There's no need to bring formal clothing any longer. Shorts are questionable. Something they'll allow them, especially on Caribbean night in the DR. Most times, nothing is said and you'll be fine.
  17. I'm sure they get a good percentage of it. Just like they probably keep all of the 18% gratuity of unordered drinks from the packages. I seriously doubt if the crew sees a penny of that money. 🀨
  18. Christmas/New Years is GREAT ! I don't have to decorate or cook or go to parties at home. 🀩 I can put up with the drinks & kids. LOL πŸ˜„
  19. Although it can get heavy, at least I can bring on my own brand which they don't carry.
  20. πŸ˜… Not that I've encountered.
  21. I believe you're referring to bottles of wine?
  22. We brought on 1 liter bottles of soda/ diet lemonade at Ft Lauderdale earlier in the year with no question.
  23. By that comment, I'm to assume that you can download movies or make video calls anytime of day?
