  1. It’s probably not going to be as busy as it would be in a warm climate. The problem is some people abuse the privilege and bring some of their besties with them. I’ve seen it on every cruise I’ve been on. A cabana that’s supposed to have 2 now has four. As a single and Canadian I pay a lot for mine. I never ask them for anything other than my water to be cold and they can’t manage that because they are running from pillar to post with the extras. It’s pretty frustrating. You can see from the railing what it’s like. Before I ever rented one I wouldn’t step foot in that area because I didn’t pay for it.
  2. It’s going to vary by region but Roger Jett has lots of info on his site including menus for Alaska. See the link below https://rogerjett-photography.com
  3. I'm in an all day offsite for work today (ugggg) but one upside was that we had veal cutlet, red cabbage and saurkraut for lunch. They must have heard us talking.
  4. That's the only part I miss about being married 😉.
  5. Does anyone like powdered creamer? That said I’m sure some do 😛😂. Agree with the previous poster. I bet you’ll be fine but as always be prepared to lose it.
  6. Maybe that’s what they are calling a veal cutlet but I’ve yet to see a cutlet that thick with a bone 🤣.
  7. I think the picture is the veal chop not the cutlet. While good, it’s no veal cutlet and way too much meat for me. I thought the jambalaya didn’t look that good. I’ve enjoyed the Peruvian chicken. I’m enjoying all the pictures.
  8. They definitely try to push the shared table. I have no interest in doing that since Covid. I get more “togetherness” than I want at work.
  9. I want to say at one time spatzle was offered as a side at one time. Not sure if it was the schnitzel or something else. I’m talking 15 or 20 years ago though.
  10. Sweet and savoury just don’t belong together (at least to me). I bet the peeps that like the candied bacon like pineapple on a pizza. That’s just wrong too. Pineapple good, pizza good, together 🤢🤮.
  11. My mom was a great cook and no matter how she tried to make spatzle it was an epic fail according to her and she tired to learn it from my German grandmother 😛. Frankly I don’t ever remember her trying to make it but maybe it was before my time.
  12. I rarely think of doing this but I may try to order it a night ahead on my next cruise.
  13. I haven’t seen it on 7 days menus forever but my last cruise was longer so they did have it. The reason I notice it because hands down it’s my favorite. I thought it was veal though but maybe I’m just thinking of how I make it.
  14. I will not take out my garbage in shorts. Always change into long pants. I’m weird that way. I feel like there is a time and place for everything and wearing what you sleep in shouldn’t be what you go outside your cabin in 😛🤪😉.
  15. I should have said do not worry. Seems like you caught my drift 😛.
  16. Being an elite on princess and 5 star on Hal I hope they don't do that. I gained all my perks the old fashioned way, by having my butt in a bed and not in a suite earning double.
  17. Do worry about that. I saw one dude in club orange in his jammies and slippers. I've seen people gain entrance into the MDR in shorts for dinner, even though it's not supposed to be allowed. Hal doesn't follow its dress code (for the most part). Things have changed a lot since 2016.
  18. The thing that amazes is the some go to the cafeteria then complain how busy it is when they have other choices. Why cafeteria eating is a preference blows me away. I really don’t need to hear why it is either.
  19. Yes, I’ve done many, many cruises on hal. I know the drill. I’m speaking of when the mdr isn’t open. I’m not a person who enjoys cafeteria eating.
  20. Someone is not going to know that when first getting onboard. I almost always go to the lido at lunch when it first opens because it’s less crowded. It just gets more crowded after that. Maybe if you go at 2 pm it’s not crowded.
  21. Why is it up to diners to “ pace out” themselves? I don’t think there have been any issues with fixed that I’ve heard.
  22. Canadians often get this error although the op is not Canadian. Mine is always green but when I go to log out it says it’s incomplete. There is no empty field. It must been hidden in the same place that the advantage fares are 🙄. I usually just ignore it because when I’ve called they always ask if I’m Canadian but they never seem to mention what the issue is.
  23. It was no better in November, even early at night. I was at club orange at 5:45 and there was a huge line up a good way down the ship and I’m not talking just to the doors of club orange. Club orange was no picnic either. Lots of long waits in the morning.
