  1. Hi I love bacon , all types including Keven Bacon and I am making plans for 2024 which will greatly improve my quality of life. These include not one but two cruises on Holland America ,something I had not been able to do due to family obligations and other stuff. I have been enviously eying the 105 day cruise on Zuiderdam but husband almost fainted when I mentioned this prospect. After I resuscitated him I mentioned the other cruises, knowing full well that his relief would propel me to final payment. anyway Happy New Year from Kathi and Ray and best wishes to all the lovely folks on this board!
  2. We had the windows open here in Hamilton, never had that before at this time of year,
  3. Thanks Karen, I 5hink thatโ€™s what I need to hear! I hope you have a nice evening too
  4. Was going to book this to Eastern Caribbean but now it shows a completely different route going to Curaรงao and Grand Turk and Bonaire. Wonder why they changed it , previously went to Tortola. I was more interested in Eastern route .
  5. Good morning to all on the list. Prayers to all who are sick or needing surgery and treatment. It finally stoped raining here and is colder and sunny. thanks to all who post photos and cartoons. They make my day.. love seeing the Panama canal and am thinking of this trip. I see Holland has less cruises including it so we see. do you think Alaska is doable with a mobility scooter? Looking at Koningsdam in May but it looks pretty intensive walking.I want to take don train in Skagway. We had this cruise booked a few years ago when Covid hit. prime rib with Yorkshire pudding and trifle is planned for this weekend.
  6. Thatโ€™s so cool, I still love Latin and hate to answer the phone. We had Bell training every year.
  7. Good morning to all the lovely people on this board. Itโ€™s raining and 8 degrees centigrade here in Hamilton, has been raining for three days straight. Prayers to all having surgery and treatments. Banging the phone down brought back memories to me. I used to be a switchboard operator here at Stelco, the place had 3200 extensions and I hated every minute of the job . However I can still remember the area codes for most of USA and Canada after forty some years. pits rather like being forced to take Latin for five years, comes in handy every once in a while when reading medicine labels. think I need another cruise.
  8. I have a son whoโ€™s getting on my nerves if she wants him, she can taj ke him instead of the dogs, also yappy
  9. I lost a pair yesterday at Costco while shopping so these are loaners. I gonna get a drink to two. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
  10. I agree. We were on a Celebrity cruise actually trans-Atlantic a while back and there was a woman who had a happy little do who she wheeled around in a stroller dressed in different outfits every day. The dog went everywhere including the dining room and outdoor cafe. I do not want to see an animal seated beside me while I am eating. Case closed.
  11. Sorry you are homesick for your little dog. Will be lively with all the kids. We are booked on Konngsdam in May, surprise for eh. Itโ€™s rain8ng cats and dogs here and I hope you have a lovely dinner and have a drink for me,
  12. It was hard for me to compose my sonโ€™s, took two days, lots of wine and tissues. After that I figured I could do anything. The cruise helped us so much to heal. My husband was recovering from throat cancer when our son passed away. Now he is in great health and hopefully no more health issues. You just put one foot in front of the other. Donโ€™t mean to be a Debbie Downer a holiday time.
  13. Ah thanks Joy, I am usually the family member who gets the job. Lots of Irish blarney
  14. Yes it was and now am singing Donald Whereโ€™s Yr Trousers, he loved that one. Heโ€™s with our son now.
