  1. My suggestion is to go and see the cattle drive at 11:30am tomorrow morning at the Fort Worth stockyards. Fort Worth Herd Twice Daily Cattle Drive | Fort Worth Stockyards
  2. Thank you Cruise Suzy. It has been 12 years since my last HAL cruise so I couldn't remember.
  3. Can OBC be used for the daily service charge of $16 each per day?
  4. I had the beef tournedos on the Reflection last week. I agree it was very good but it was the size of a postage stamp. If I'd known in advance how small it was I would have ordered something to go with it.
  5. My father is one of 10 children (my grandmother had 10 children in 10 years!). My dad told me that when he was growing up SOS at mealtimes meant "Stretch or Starve". As an adult he was in the air force for a few years so maybe his growing up experiences at mealtimes served him well when he was in the military!
  6. On the Reflection last week our waiter asked us to please not give the food quality a low score because even though he is not the chef he gets dinged for food complaints. If this is true, it is totally wrong, he should be dinged for poor service but not food quality or options. Because of this I am not completing the post-cruise survey because I don't want to say anything that would harm the waiter because in all honesty I couldn't give the food a 10. So X is not getting feedback from me even though I would like to tell them the truth.
  7. Got off the Reflection yesterday. Had a great cruise but at the airport yesterday started shivering. Went to bed as soon as I got home last night. This morning tested positive for covid (fully vaxed and boosted twice) 🤕
  8. When was this change announced? On January 9 I upgraded one of us to premium for our upcoming February cruise, so wondering if I just got in under the wire.
  9. Will be on Reflection in two weeks' time so looking forward to reading about your cruise experience.
  10. Two days ago I upgraded one of us in the cabin from classic to premium for our cruise next month by calling the main 1-800 number so was pleased I was still able to do so as premium would be a waste for one of us who does not drink wine or martinis, just simple drinks like bacardi & coke, pina colada, mudslide, etc.
  11. We were on the October 1 sailing. Our check in time was 11:30-noon. We arrived at the terminal at 10:45 and were on the ship by 11. Absolutely no lines to board. Perhaps because there were only 1,650 passengers on our sailing. No one asked to look at our CDC vaccination cards.
  12. And on the Solstice two weeks ago they did not want to look at the CDC vaccination record, only passport.
  13. Here is a pic from the martini bar last week on the Solstice. That is captain Theo in the middle, the cruise director on the left, and I'm not sure which officer on the right.
  14. Each day at noon or 1pm persons at the pool area were asked to take part in guessing the answer to a question of the day. One of the questions was "what is the passenger count on this cruise" and the answer was 1,650 (the person who guessed closest won a Celebrity ball cap).
  15. We disembarked from the Solstice this morning. There was plenty of elbow room around the pool and in the bars and theater as there were only 1,650 passengers on board, and plenty of staff to take care of our needs. Had a great cruise.
