  1. This would not be the correct forum; please head over to the ports of call to ask this question.
  2. All I can say is if you want to fraternize, you can have your "really private" encounter in the other guest's cabin. Problem solved.
  3. What a great piece of advice! Thank you!
  4. Welcome! Yes, there white zin. Never seen Moscato (but not looking for it). There are rieslings, though. Unfortunately passengers in same cabin must book the same beverage package. Some folks might say they've had luck booking otherwise, but it's an exception.
  5. Yes, there is soy and rice milk onboard. Just not as a coffee creamer.
  6. It's likely this however I would call MSC and try to get it waived as you agreed to the original fare.
  7. Generally (can't speak for MSC) if you get a group booking of 8 cabins or more 1 guest (potentially 1 cabin of 2) would sail for free. Try to find a TA that specializes in group bookings.
  8. No need to rent an umbrella. Get off the ship EARLY and head to the first beach (Lighthouse beach) taking the walking path going LEFT. The umbrellas there are free.
  9. lol; I'm originally from Providence, RI... totally get how wicked yah accent is

    Need help

I've been on pretty much all of the mainstream cruiselines and have seen many service dogs. From my experience HAL and Disney do an excellent job with service dogs in terms of accommodations. If MSC is only providing puppy pads I'd seriously consider NOT booking with them.
  11. Yes, in the Yacht Club, otherwise no.
  12. I have found that the website you refer to no longer wants to quote MSC
  13. Your goal for a TA OBC should be 5-8% of the fare (not incl tax & port). For a $25 or $50 OBC (for a 3 or 4 day cruise) I just usually book direct as I figure it's barely worth their time. If it's a longer cruise or yacht club I use a TA because the $150 + in OBC covers the auto grat/hotel service charges. However I will say that I do 100% of the work for the TA, literally spelling everything down to ship, sailing, cabin, etc.
  14. No, they cannot enter the YC and no, you cannot split a YC Cabana with someone outside the YC. As others have said the ship might offer a daily, very brief, tour of the YC (pre arranged) for those who are curious about booking. They will be accompanied by a Butler or the YC Director. YC Guests bringing in nonYC guests is not allowed and the staff will be put in the position of having to awkwardly address it.
  15. Unless there is some magic way to enter your cabin without crossing the YC doors/enclave the answer is definitively no. You can, however, join them in their Aurea cabin.
  16. Correct, Grey Goose is over the limit and while Tito's is technically included on almost all of our most recent cruises they ran out by day 3 or 4 (even though there are bottles available in duty free-- don't get me started.) We always upgrade to the Premium Extra for the wine selections. Life is too short to drink Woodbridge 🙂
  17. Just to jump in - I know on OTHER cruise lines you can mark your cabin "do not upgrade"/move specifically for such reasons, but I have never seen this mentioned regarding MSC cruises. People do chose cabins for particular and personal reasons. Has anyone heard of this on MSC?
  18. Totally agree with @styles27 HC rooms are HUGE, as are the balconies. You take that and the other is for the family with the teens. But to answer your first question, no, you had the option to review the cabin choices at the time of booking with your TA. If you didn't understand the deck plan you could have asked for assistance at that time. In fact, he/she probably shouldn't have booked a HC cabin that far out as it technically should have been for HC use only. (These cabins do open up for general sailing about 60 days out if not already booked)
  19. Nope, I've seen them rise. As folks have bids accepted the algorithm raises the next starting bids. Kind of a "you better bid now" or the price might go up thing!
  20. Just be aware that if you book a cabin that CAN hold 3 or 4 pax and you are only 2, you have a higher chance of being bumped if that cabin is needed later. MSC does move cabins even if you select them. The cruiseline's goal is revenue maximization. Mo people, Mo money.
  21. Absolutely go to Bruges - it's GORGEOUS!!
