  1. Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us. Wonderful review with Great photos. I'm sure Millie is happy you are home.😀
  2. Sorry to hear that. I hope they get the help they need and will be OK. I have heard that Aruba has a good medical system/hospitals.
  3. She did a great job. They look delicious. I love Mahi. Yesterday we ordered lunch from a local restaurant called Porterhouse. They have a delicious grouper sandwich. I know sounds strange to order fish from a steakhouse but it is so good.
  4. Always nice to have wonderful memories like that 🥰 Glad to hear they survived covid. I have to check out the timing for our next cruise to Aruba and see if we can fit in another sunset dinner.
  5. Yes, you definitely can simply move your deposit to a new booking. We have done several times, easy peasy! Most times we have kept the same booking # too
  6. Happy to hear you are ready to book a cruise. Yes, you can still purchase 1 device Voom and share as you wish. Yes, Wifi calling works with Voom just fine. On embarkment day we have both watched the safety video for muster drill on our own phones but you should be able to do on one phone. Usually can watch the video in the cruise terminal while waiting to checkin. Then once onboard report to your assigned muster station and they may or may not give you a brief instruction on how to put on a life jacket then scan your set sail pass or sea pass card that you have completed your muster safety drill (takes less than 2 minutes). Easy peasy and hopefully they still have e-muster process this summer.
  7. I agree, there are plenty of venues where the parents can get a drink without having to sit them at the bar with coloring books but I guess the kiddos are in training 😇
  8. I have no idea about FL short term rental requirements to comment on that but to say the rate will be $6K more than what they posted online is wrong in so many ways. As a landlord posting rentals on VRBO website I know you have the option to change rates (per day, per week, etc.) for holidays, spring break whatever the reason there is a way for them to properly disclose the rate on the VRBO site. If they want to play those games with their pricing I hope the home sits vacant next Christmas!
  9. Others on this board may have more info on how to book with your next cruise credit. I have booked with them while onboard. But I can say there are some phone reps that do not know everything and give out wrong information since most of them work from home from various countries. I would suggest calling the Crown and Anchor number.
  10. I had looked at that Jewel sailing last year when first released and prices were very reasonable. I don't remember why I didn't book it then but the next time I looked it was mostly sold out so we booked the repo cruise on Serenade for Sept 2023.
  11. That strategy my backfire on you. Seems like all our cruise fares are increasing as the dates get closer to sail date. Curious to know, How would you get a lower deposit? The only way I know is to book onboard thru next cruise.
  12. Was the restaurant near the lighthouse open? We had a great sunset dinner there and really enjoyed. I cannot remember the name but food and view were awesome.
  13. Yes, we were overdue. I couldn't believe the rental prices we saw online for this summer. They were high last year but really went up this year. We saw 2 bed 1 bath condos renting for more than we charge for a single family 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house 8 houses to beach with a front patio/deck, upper deck off bedrooms, rooftop deck with ocean and bay views, nice outdoor area with grill, patio, 2 outdoor showers and provide some buggy boards and beach stuff too! And a can opener
  14. NICE! I love the view from this area. Happy to see your fulfilled your day. The last time I was there I saw a lot surf gliders, fun to watch them.
  15. It was difficult to do but we haven't done for at least 4 or 5 years, we raised rent for our shore house rentals. I sent emails out this past weekend to all our previous tenants and am happy to say that just about everyone has responding saying basically the same thing "wondered when you were going to do that as you have been too cheap for too long" We had been tossing the idea around the last 2 years and each year had decided to give people a break during covid but now with the cost of utilities, property taxes, insurances, etc etc going up up up it was time to increase. Especially after reviewing many different online rentals (VRBO, Airbnb, etc.) we were too cheap but have been very happy to have the place booked with tenants we know respect the home and enjoy coming back every year. Next, I will work on preparing some leases for the tenants that have confirmed their dates and email them this weekend. I love doing this as it means summer time down the short isn't that far away😀 Plus getting their deposit monies is a perk😁 Maybe I should buy a new can opener this season😇
  16. St Kitts - Love Love Love - Carambola Beach Club https://www.carambolabeachclub.com/ easy to get a taxi outside the cruise port (near the clock tower) Shipwreck right down the beach from Carambola is a good one too. They both offer loungers, umbrellas, beautiful water, food and drink with a great view (Nevis right across the way). St Thomas - I agree with George C above - Trunk Bay by ferry to St Johns is a great option St Croix- Fredriksted beach (have only been her 2 or 3 times - but is nice and would go back)
  17. Sorry to hear you were sick. Did you do quarantine for 5 days on Hal? Hope you feel better now. That stinks you may cancel Greenland cruise. That is one we want to do.
  18. On Anthem the Sea Plex can be rather busy depending on day/time. They have numerous sports in this area. We played pickleball a couple of times with our son and his wife. Not sure if they still have certain times of day for roller skating. There is also a gaming area, I think Xbox that usually see teenage boys playing. And our son enjoyed playing air hockey and fussball.
  19. If you are not prime or higher there is s 5% transaction fee to charge to your seapass in casino. Last time on Anthem in December I didn't see any BJ tables for less than $10. Have seen some $5 tables in the past.
  20. Both areas have same number elevators. We prefer cabin near aft elevator as that puts you closer to dining rooms on deck 3 and 4, closer to casino, esplanade and windjammer and 270 theater.
