  1. AKAIK they has not.
  2. Where did you read this? AFAIK the ship will be berthed in the city. See https://www.whatsinport.com com/Ho-Chi-Minh-City.htm for more information. Does your itinerary nerary refer to Phú My, or Ho Chi Minh City or both? If Phú My is not specified or included, then I think it is safe to assume the ship will be berthed in he city.
  3. Anarchy! BTW what do you regard as prime-time specialty restaurants slots?
  4. Indeed. We divide our efforts. On boarding, Steph waits patiently in room, whole I go to secure our preferred slots for Specialty Dining. We find, unless that you are guests of a crew member, MDR offerings and service are not as good as in the Specialty restaurants.
  5. On a 25-day cruise, IMHO, any package makes sense, but the value varies with your needs/preferences and which accommodation you occupy onboard.
  6. But, according to another contemporaneous thread, it would seem that not all the ships are charging the higher price for specialty dining - yet. Our next three cruises are on Journey (April/May); Pursuit (August); and Onward (November).
  7. The disadvantage of a later boarding is that onevs preferred 'slots' for Specialty dining might not be available! Swings and roundabouts.
  8. Sounds like a plan. But... My wife gets stressed on these days. She likes to get on board and unpack. The wait for our larger case to be delivered to our suite stresses her further! We have experienced a 90-minute wait. So, is a later embarkation doubly-beneficial because your luggage is delivered to you sooner after you board?
  9. Nahhh! Makes no difference. We always take a suite. Never seen cookies! Maybe bottles of water at some ports, but the provision is by no means consistent.
  10. Really? I have taken at least 7 cruises with Azamara, and I have never seen cookies and drinks in any terminal following check-in. However, on one occasion in particular, in Dubai, I do recall slowly shuffling along in a long line in a sweltering building. There was no seating available, and no refreshments of any kind. We stood in that environment for at least 45 minutes, in the priority line. When we eventually reached the head of the line, there was a problem with the scanner the agent was using, which reduced the number of viable desks to one, and the selfish, boorish guest took it upon himself to engage the operative in a one-sided 5-minute 'conversation' about his flight to Dubai.
  11. I'd be grateful if you could explain in detail what the contact at head office did to resolve the problem.
  12. I am with you 100% on that. But it doesn't matter too much in which you are, you can order from either menu. I often have the refreshing melon and tomato starter from Aqualina whilst in Prime C!
  13. Ah, well, strike that theory!
  14. Just musing... Have we got sufficient data to be able to determine what price is being charged on each ship? I have a feeling that the higher price is being charged on one ship only. If that ship is the Onward, perhaps the higher price is explained by the additional number of suites on Onward, so as to limit demand/disappointment. Alternatively, maybe Azamara are trialling the higher price(s) so as to measure response.
  15. It seems that - maybe - the pricing is not consistent fleet-wide.
  16. Pray that the Danube is navigable... Continental Europe has had a very dry winter.
  17. https://www.azamara.com/it/home/why-azamara
  18. Azamara does not charge extra for all guests. For example, all those in a suite, specialty dining is included.
  19. Can you change your booking without penalty or forfeit? If you stick with the P3 the location of the laundry is probably irrelevant. And in any case, I would avoid a room near the laundry (noise).
  20. Good news. Thanks. On our next cruise in April we will be trying to use our 6 free nights against a 7-night cruise in the Med in August. The OBC will be very welcome.
  21. Did you get any OBC?
  22. But... I think that cruises from the east or north are unlikely to transit countries which are on that list.
