  1. Good to hear, that should give you enough time to plan a nice day in St. Thomas. I would still plan on getting off the ship pretty early if you plan on going on your own, or give you some good options with a ship’s tour.
  2. You’ll need to be back onboard by 12:30. Not much time in port for sure, but if you go ashore by 7:30 or 8:00 that gives you a few hours to check out the town or even head to a beach for a couple hours. Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to make it back to the ship in time if you explore on your own.
  3. I know you used to be able to bring a bottle to refill. Unless they changed the rules post Covid you should still be able to.
  4. Ship water is fine to drink. I just like the convenience of grabbing a cold bottle/can from the cabin fridge/cooler to bring with me to the pool deck, ashore, etc. I don’t drink alcohol and water is my beverage of choice. I drink 6-8 bottles or cans every day.
  5. We have water packages purchased for our April cruise but just checked out of curiosity to see if it is still being offered. It is not. Strange, haven’t seen this before. My purchased water is still showing up in my purchase history section so hopefully it will be there once we get onboard.
  6. I voted for 8566, only for the close proximity to the stairs/elevators, but would be perfectly fine with either room.
  7. I agree. TV weather people have gotten totally over the top in recent years. I long for the days when they just reported the weather without trying to win an award for best dramatic performance.
  8. My cats have always been “chatterers”. It’s amusing but I’ve heard it’s frustrating for the cats as well, especially when they’re inside (as mine have always been) and they’re unable to get to their prey!
  9. Even though the route is planned in advance I would think weather conditions at the time could play a factor as well. There doesn’t appear to be much difference in distance between the two routes.
  10. I saw that as well. I thought she was heading straight back to Miami once dry dock was completed, didn’t know there was a stop planned in Gibraltar.
  11. I saw David Bowie in concert when I was in college (late 80’s - early 90’s) and it was the best concert I’ve ever attended. Amazing performer. Freddie Mercury would have been amazing as well I’m sure. So sad they’re both gone now.
  12. @omro1975for that itinerary I would have done the same thing. That’s a big savings on a rare and unique itinerary, and I would rather be up on deck to take in the panoramic views and scenery in that part of the world anyway. Even in the unlikely event you get an obstructed/obscured view balcony it will still be an amazing experience. I would love to do this (or similar) itinerary some day.
  13. We did a r/t sailing out of Boston and loved Bar Harbor. It was our favorite port on the cruise. Acadia National Park was beautiful, especially in October (same time we were there). Boston is a great city to spend some time in before or after the cruise.
  14. I was thinking that too. I’m beginning to think there’s no love lost between the two captains. I know Lee wasn’t happy at all when Sandy fired Camille without running it by him first.
  15. I was on Alissa’s side during the whole Camille drama but she’s really showing what a narcissistic, selfish person she is now (or maybe I’m just realizing it now). And Ross is just a slimeball.
  16. That last part bothers me. As if these servers don’t have enough to stress them out, now they’re being watched 🙄
  17. We did that once. Actually never even pulled into the parking lot. Took one look and kept going.
