Really short stop in St thomas? Worth it?
voyager70 replied to Shand9219's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Good to hear, that should give you enough time to plan a nice day in St. Thomas. I would still plan on getting off the ship pretty early if you plan on going on your own, or give you some good options with a ship’s tour. -

You’ll need to be back onboard by 12:30. Not much time in port for sure, but if you go ashore by 7:30 or 8:00 that gives you a few hours to check out the town or even head to a beach for a couple hours. Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to make it back to the ship in time if you explore on your own. -

I know you used to be able to bring a bottle to refill. Unless they changed the rules post Covid you should still be able to. -

Ship water is fine to drink. I just like the convenience of grabbing a cold bottle/can from the cabin fridge/cooler to bring with me to the pool deck, ashore, etc. I don’t drink alcohol and water is my beverage of choice. I drink 6-8 bottles or cans every day. -

We have water packages purchased for our April cruise but just checked out of curiosity to see if it is still being offered. It is not. Strange, haven’t seen this before. My purchased water is still showing up in my purchase history section so hopefully it will be there once we get onboard. -
TAKE THE POLL: Which stateroom should be choose?

I voted for 8566, only for the close proximity to the stairs/elevators, but would be perfectly fine with either room. -

Geography question about our cruise

Even though the route is planned in advance I would think weather conditions at the time could play a factor as well. There doesn’t appear to be much difference in distance between the two routes. -
I saw that as well. I thought she was heading straight back to Miami once dry dock was completed, didn’t know there was a stop planned in Gibraltar.

@omro1975for that itinerary I would have done the same thing. That’s a big savings on a rare and unique itinerary, and I would rather be up on deck to take in the panoramic views and scenery in that part of the world anyway. Even in the unlikely event you get an obstructed/obscured view balcony it will still be an amazing experience. I would love to do this (or similar) itinerary some day.

We did a r/t sailing out of Boston and loved Bar Harbor. It was our favorite port on the cruise. Acadia National Park was beautiful, especially in October (same time we were there). Boston is a great city to spend some time in before or after the cruise.

That last part bothers me. As if these servers don’t have enough to stress them out, now they’re being watched 🙄 -
Ships skipping Nassau today: ??

We did that once. Actually never even pulled into the parking lot. Took one look and kept going.
