Pauline is 58 so cohort 8.

It is 3 months since my positive covid19 test and resulting 4 weeks in bed so not a panic for me.

1 friend 58 in cohort 8 got her vaccine today.

Her SIL 35 is back home in UAE and he received a text from the same doctors for vaccine.

My doctor's surgery said they have not received anything yet for cohort 6 (me).

    Surgery's about 3 miles apart.

Mine is in a health centre with a few other surgeries so possibly they are all banded together.

Hopefully things will work out soon for you both,  I think where I am in Durham we are seriously lagging behind when I hear about younger healthier people being offered their jabs.

I agree, I met my OH when I was 3 and he was 6, he was/is my brother's best friend. We started dating when I was 18 and have now been married for 32 years 😍

I feel so lucky that we met and have a wonderful relationship  just so annoying that we don’t have the same time ahead of us to enjoy our wonderful cruises

My neighbour's had xrays done on her ankle, wrist and elbow, She has a small break in her elbow, but they don't want to pot it as it will restrict her mobility. She's back home now and her daughter's with her.

My friend is also back home, got back at 3.30pm. I had thought she would be able to go to her sons as she is still weak and unsteady on her legs, but the hospital have said she has to go to her own home alone and isolate for 7 days as she still testing positive for Covid. They've given her a walking frame to help, but how is she supposed to get a cuppa or anything? but her DIL has said they'll work something out.

I met Frank when I was 15 and he was and older man at 17😉I had a curfew on weeknights and had to be home for 10pm. We'd been to the pictures and I'd missed my bus, so Frank walked me home. We were saying goodnight and dad came flying out  of the house shouting. Instead of opening the gate Frank jumped over the fence. I think dad might have been angry because I said I was going out with my friends😁So that's the tale of dad chasing Frank, and we still laugh about it now.

Hi Avril I met my OH when I was 15 and he was 17 my MIL said no wedding present as it won’t last and my parents said I wasn’t allowed to see him  because he had long hair 😂we have now been married for 48 years and he is my sole mate some things are just meant to be.👍

I haven't said anyone has dissed my view, just not supported it, which I am surprised about.

Anyway lifes too short for me to worry about what people on here think, although generally I agree with most.

I am not ringing the surgery at this time, they are busy and keep us up to date on a faceache group. They are keeping to the NHS guidelines if others obviously are not. I feel very strongly about the rights and wrongs of vaccination timetables and this was one step too far for me.

Hi I fully understand where you’re coming from and agree with your opinions, I think some areas are more ahead than others, I hope your wife gets her vaccination soon,

I think I can speak for all of us that if it takes until the autumn/winter for cruising to recommence in a safe and healthy environment then I'm sure we will all wait. There's more important things going on this world to worry about at the moment.  I'm currently gazing out at the Azura docked at the Port of Tyne ...she looks fab....

Hi stevie j would love to have a drive out to see the Azura but not possible due to lockdown any have of you posting a photo 🤗

Got my letter this morning (65 - 70) age group. Straight on to the web site, and after putting in all the information was told I was ineligible.  Rang 119 - got through quite quickly. Was told that the system had not been updated, and when he tried to make an appointment for me, got the same refusal.

All very frustrating. Hopefully the surgery will ring through with an appointment in the next few days.

    Same happened to us ☹️

My TA rang me today. It was a courtesy call to check that I was happy regarding fcc/refunds and an apology from the company who felt they hadn't been able to look after their customers as well as they would have liked. I have had no issues with the company or how they have handled anything but I appreciated the call. During the chat we talked about my upcoming cruise in August. She told me she didn't think it would happen and that she didn't expect cruises to start properly until the autumn. I don't know if she's right but it did make me think, I'd rather know than not know, because then I can just get on with it.

Fantastic service from your TA mine have been rubbish throughout the year and still having problems as they’ve never passed over our payments to the cruise companies

It does seem to be a post code lottery and little bearing given to current  health. I expected OH to be called well before me because he has heart problems and on loads of medication for it and I have no ongoing health problems and no regular medication.

Yes I think you’re right definitely a post code lottery I just wish the surgery would give us information instead of saying they don’t know anything or it not up to them surely  someone knows what’s happening

119 will never be not busy  just have to hang on. They can only book you at mass vaccination centre or a pharmacy  not at your local GP.

I’m prepared to go anywhere (almost) to be vaccinated 😀

I'm in the 65 to 70 age group and haven't heard a thing so far!

Hi we too are in that group and both have underlying health issues ongoing cancer diagnosis’s and stents in arteries we have contacted our surgery but have been told to wait it’s a bit disheartening when you can see others in our group getting appointments wish the surgery  would just tell you that they are behind with the vaccines or they don’t have enough.

    Good Morning Everyone.

Just an update from a besieged vaccine hub in London. Things that were running so well have all gone pear-shaped. The arrival of the mass vaccination sites has led to total confusion. Multiple patients are being invited by letter to book an appointment to have a jab they had 10 days ago. They think they're being invited for a second jab, we know they're not. Confusion reigns. We no longer have a clear idea of what drops of vaccine we can expect. On Sunday, loads of people arrived, uninvited, unexpected, demanding their vaccines NOW. Someone had posted on Facecloth that anyone could turn up to receive a jab (thanks for that)  and it all got very unpleasant. Those walking frames and sticks can do real damage let me tell you. Anyway, the upshot is that we have to employ a security guard for the forthcoming weekend. Never mind masks and face-shields, I'll be wearing a stab-vest and carrying a truncheon on Sunday!

On a totally different topic I've decided I'm not going on my planned QE British Isles cruise (hopefully it will be cancelled and I'll get my deposit back) in June. I've been reading some of the posts and roll-calls on that site and decided I'll be like a fish out of water. I'm sticking to P&O and you guys from hereon.

Oh well, I'd better get on and sort out my protective clothing.

Have a great day everyone and Graham, once again, good luck for tomorrow.

    Best wishes all.

Hi Jane really sorry your having a rough time at the moment and we do appreciate all your hard work, and please don’t dismiss your QE cruise there are some really fantastic people on board and I’ve never experienced any kind of unpleasantness the Cunard forum does not give an honest view of the passengers and were all not bad, take care and thanks again for all your hard work. Lindy
