It is a B2B. Ocean view cabin. My wife has Royal Platinum status which I think translates to Select.

We are planning a back-to-back with over 20 days on the ship. First time on a cruise where we will HAVE to send laundry out. Any thoughts on the best way to use the service and also what items they CAN'T be trusted not to ruin?

Included in Classic package (except for the alcohol drinks, eg Baileys).

On Summit they have the full set (unlike Royal ships). My wife was happy.

While I don't relish doing my own laundry sometimes it is useful if the ship has a self-service laundry like the QM2. Does the QE have a self-service laundry?

I am not sure but it might be the classic drink package (which includes the gratuities on the drinks), basic internet access, and cabin gratuities.

If I remember correctly the Cafe doesn't have brewed coffee. The closest is Cafe Americano, which was good.

You have a choice to book either refundable or non-refundable deposit. I thought if you booked non-refundable and cancelled outright, you COULD NOT get a cash refund, period.

We would sometimes order a glass of wine or mixed drink that was a dollar more then allowed in classic and get charged $1.20. Although I seem to remember when we were in one of the ports, they charged us additional tax (maybe 8 cents) however, my memory could be faulty.

Things like this are subjective however, I personally thought the regular coffee on Celebrity was absolutely horrid, and although I like a good cup of coffee, I will usually tolerate almost anything. The espresso-based coffees were fine. It has been a few years since I travelled on Princess (Jan 2018) however based on that and a trip this past June on Celebrity I think the MDR food was comparable. Food of course is very subjective.

I hope Skagway is open in 2023, have a cruise stopping there however we will have to see.

Just looking for a laid-back beach near the cruise port that is easy to get to and back?

Ship is offering this tour, any thoughts?

Our ship will be tendering in January. We have excursions planned for the morning until about 1PM. The ship departs around 6PM. We are looking for what to do in the afternoon and don't want to be late getting back to the ship. Something a little laid back would be nice e.g., sitting on a beach, strolling around local architecture or shopping (NOT THE STANDARD CRUISE PORT SHOPPING, NO DIAMONDS INTERNATIONAL PLEASE). Any suggestions?

Are there fencing lessons on the QE?

It doesn't matter what you use if there is no throughput.

They also run out of some wines mid-cruise.

My only experience was Summit and basic WiFi was almost useless for basic email. Forget about WiFi calling.

It still depends on how many glasses a day you drink. It may still be cheaper to pay the difference.

So how does the drink package discount work? Does it apply to the non-alcoholic package? And is the discount in addition to the pre-cruise discount?

Remember it is a vacation to enjoy and if a wine is a $1 over then it is just the difference you pay (+gratuity).

It is very easy to miss if you are rushing.

There have been rockslides in Skagway which are disrupting cruises. Not much to do about it.
