P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?
AndyMichelle replied to Host Sharon's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
'a huge rumble and houses shook'... Are we sure it's not just cruise day and all that wheelie luggage being dragged over the cobbles๐ Being 'oop North' it's all cobbled streets right? Andy -

Well done Derek... And, of course you Rupert. What a handsome lad Andy -
I concur. Unfortunately can only book the Limelight and shows in advance on Britannia. Just hope we can book Epicurean as we have a late boarding time... Andy

Hey, what's wrong with you... ๐

Not mandatory at the moment, but we are taking some 'just in case'. As Zap says, things can change quite quickly. Have a great cruise. Andy

No pictures, it didn't happen๐ Looks lovely Andy -
I think you have to assume that if a table for 2 has been requested and often a longer wait, that people do not want to interact. There is no need to be rude though, a polite 'good evening' to the people around you, then carry on with your own conversations will not encourage or offend anyone. Andy

I bet you are doing what I did Brian, much to Michelle's disdain... Walking around saying 'Vladimir Putin' in a poor Russian accent constantly... ๐ Andy -
I missed it, but was pointed in the right direction by Dai, thank you. Being honest, we were a bit underwhelmed by the options, but have booked a couple. We will be quite happy to find a spot with some live music and watch the world go by. Andy

Thank you Sandra. I'm sure we will have a great time, we are pretty laid back and will be so glad to be sailing again, I doubt anything will spoil it. Andy & Michelle x

1 guy on the piano in the theatre??? Sounds odd, with no explanation. Surely 'Pulse' must be knocking out some tunes in 1 of the venues? Andy

Thank you for reporting back Sue, glad you had fun, looks fantastic. Andy

Yes, for us suitably able. We will head to Oxford Street, which is just across the green from Ocean terminal and has a great choice of pubs and restaurants to choose from. Ocean Village is fairly close too. Mayflower is a bit isolated unfortunately. Andy

Oh forgot about Rob. Was going to get Stephen Mulhern in but he has gone onto bigger and better things with Butlins๐ Andy

Hopefully it was just a trial on that cruise... We will find out on Friday on Britannia, our first cruise since lock down too... Andy

See post #23 Jean, it doesn't seem like an error on this particular cruise.

All your P&O dress code comments and queries.
AndyMichelle replied to jomf's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
The dress code clearly says 'no sliders or flip flops'... -

I think that's the OPs point Jean, there was no liquid soap... Andy

Would agree if that was the rules. Plenty of other holidays available where you can wear what you like. We book knowing the dress code so adhere to it out of respect for our fellow passengers. Andy- 641 replies

Yes, fair point. I was possibly checking more than usual because of the publicity. We too have a plan in place as I don't want to risk getting stuck in traffic and being late, but it seems it doesn't work for many... I think there is still a hope for some in the queue that they might get on a bit early which I understand, but it's no good complaining if you were aware and haven't followed the rules. Andy

OK, adding a few extras to my packing list because of all the extra cutbacks as reported by returning passengers. Soap Flannel Water Biscuits Trays Coasters Chocolates Deck chair (for the queue) She wee (for Michelle in the queue) Raspberry creme brulee Photographer Beef Wellington Hotplate Hoover Lobster Claire Sweeney ๐ I know some of these have reappeared, but better to be safe than sorry... Please let me know if I have missed anything? Oh, and a few more crew... These can be found from other ships in Poundland in Southampton on embarkation day, buying their toiletries... I will be there waiting for my embarkation time and buying most of the above... I will stick a few 'manners' in for the rude passengers that seem to be making an increased appearance.. Andy
