  1. Something to consider for those 'late' bookers... Chances are it's MDR freedom or buffet for them. So you can book restaurants before final payment is due? This is a massive change of policy, maybe for the better, who knows... Andy

Nah Tiger, according to P&O, you and all the other posters on here and FB must all be 'confused'... 😂😂😂 We questioned it again and, despite it seeming like we have received the discount, P&O are still insisting they have never offered it for the Limelight... We won't know for definite until we board, but if it is £42 on the ship, then we have received the 'discount that never existed'... Andy

  5. Update from P&O... They say they have NEVER offered 20%discount for pre booking the Limelight... Only ever loyalty discount. That's fine, we are happy to pay what we paid, but didn't want to feel cheated. According to P&O, all you people who claim to have received this discount, to quote P&O, 'must be confused'... 😂 Andy
  6. I will give them a call when I get a bit of time... It seems like we are not the only ones on our cruise, some have got the discount and others haven't. Andy
  7. We are seeing Ray Quinn, the advertised price is £35. We got our little bit of loyalty discount, but definitely not 20% as well. Other passengers on our cruise seem to be paying £28, (£35-20%) so not sure why we have paid more? Andy
  8. Thank you, it's a lot of typos, every night shows £9.20. I assume the 20% does not apply to the Limelight? We got our loyalty discount but nothing else.

  11. Michelle is doing well Josy, thank you for asking. Still has up and down days, but, in general, doing OK. As far as insurance is concerned, as MB said, definitely pick up the phone... Michelle had quotes for thousands of pounds online and finally got a yearly policy for a couple of hundred quid... Being diagnosed with a terminal illness is much better, in their eyes, than being under investigation... It seems being treated for a condition can make a massive difference compared to investigation, but of course, online assumes the worst. Andy

Don't trust em Julie, they are a bunch of charlatans who draw you in with tales of Stoke on Trent, terrible jokes and pictures of food...😢 I'm joking of course, they really are a fantastic bunch who I will be forever grateful to for their support and laughs during difficult times. I only check in occasionally these days as cannot keep up with the thread, but still like to see how they are all doing. Welcome to the madhouse... 😂 Andy

  16. You will feel a bit more movement higher up, but from our experience, not enough on Britannia to cause you major issues. She always feels fairly stable to us, and Michelle can suffer from motion sickness but has had no issues. Look at the positives, you are very close to the Crows Nest, pools and buffet.. 😊 You might just want to check out what the area directly above you is, shown in white on the deck plans, opposite Epicurean. Probably nothing to worry about but could be a boiler room, galley or something that creates noise. I'm sure our friends on here will be able to help with this. As it is quite a way off, you should be able to swap without too much trouble if needed, but choose carefully. Andy
  17. I believe it can all be done in port, but it is fairly easy to do. Clear instructions are on the personaliser. I managed it, so it can't be that difficult... If you try and they decide it is not suitable, they will just take them again at check in, so don't panic. All these things sound daunting but, believe me, it is all fairly simple. Andy
  18. Apparently, 1500 contractors boarded Thursday night. Work had started in the casino, removing cladding. A lot of carpet and soft furnishings are being replaced, but unsure where. Kitchens are being 'refigured' and a covered smoking area is being installed. We are on her 26th, so will be able to report back then. Andy
  19. We sail 3 weeks yesterday and got labels yesterday. Not sure why instructions say different. Don't be put off by negative comments, thousands still manage to have a great time with P&O. They are not perfect, but we feel they still offer enough for us to have a fantastic holiday. Go with an open mind, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Andy
  20. Great point John. I often get put off of ordering vegan food because I 'assume' I won't like it. I also would appreciate anyone recommending dishes they have enjoyed. Saying that, we have tried some of the gluten free/vegan desserts... Absolutely rank... 😂 Andy
