During the summer months, MSC goes to the same boring ports as the big 3 (Nassau, Cozumel, Jamaica) Nothing exotic, nothing new. It’s one of the reasons I haven’t cruised with them.
I've never had to wait anywhere near 30 minutes for bar service and I only cruise in the summer months (June and July) and December.
Are going to the bar or are you waiting for a waitperson to come by?
We usually get a "normal" balcony and hang out in the serenity section. Then we discovered the Havana area. We now only book Havana interiors. My wife loves the fact that the pool and Jacuzzis are never crowded. Plus, we love dancing (well she loves dancing) and the Havana bar is right here.
When one uses a product extensively you see the warts and other products look good (look tablecloths!). But soon you’ll notice, dispute paying more, you’re getting the same product (crappy MDR food) only packed differently (and often paying more). But variety is the spicy of life, so go out and enjoy yourself whatever you decide to do.
We will be visiting Amber Cove on our June 2024 southern Caribbean cruise. We want to rent a cabana. Has anyone done either? Pros cons? We had a cabana on HMC are they similar?
The bigger the ship the less it rocks. The less it rocks the less likely my wife will get motion sickness (seasick). And the less seasick she is = more cruises!
Things we have done and enjoyed: Wine tasting (we visited a vineyard with an excursion, and we visited various wineshops on our own), Horse back riding on the beach, Visited the La Bufadura (really good tacos there 1st stall). But our favorite thing to do is walk around and shop.
