  1. Ok Sarge, i plead guilty with an explanation. I am nutz.
  2. Debortoli willowglen, $9 in dans, $53 on the ship, a commercial wine made for the clubs where it is probably, $20. Heavily marked up on the ship.
  3. Great to see you getting back on the horse as it were. Above all, enjoy !
  4. No more chocs on pillows, tragic. Cost nothing to dish out.
  5. Even though she is a vet putting down a couple of animals a day, putting her own dog down which she had for 14 years impacted her greatly.
  6. I doubt they would have a concession card lol, paying the $ for 53 cruises. I mean Uncle Les cannot get one and my bank accounts are bleeding to death, just that my defined benefit fortnightly income stream is over the limit for those cards, which is $55k for a single person like me, no dependents.
  7. The 'Clean people in Brisvegas must love them, think of the commissions, lol.
  8. Fair enough, you are lucky to be wealthy enough to chance that, most of us on here would not be in that position.
  9. Was not sure of the itineraries. They can return home in between b2b's and mow the lawn at their penthouse, lol. And get their scripts, do you think they have a concession card lol.
  10. At least they will give their Elite complimentary laundry a workout, lol. 53 mini bars too, jubbly. They are from Qld, they could even be lurking here on CC, lol.
  11. Why have you not got a Gold Card Barry ? They give them away like lollies.
  12. You would be taking a big risk using the 20K max CC travel insurance if you paid out something like 50K or 60K so for a WC. If you had to cancel just prior because of illness you could lose 40K. ouch ! In the past I had two cruises where I or my wife got real crook a few weeks before the cruise and had to cancel, lucky we had the right insurance.
  13. Forget TA's Barry, do it yourself direct with the cruiseline, way to go.
  14. We made the MTP luncheon twice on Princess, but never the 'Most Travelled Passenger.'
  15. To do those 53 B2B cruises over 2 years I would need to take 10 suit cases just for my stay alive pills. How would you get your prescriptions? Ships Medical Centres don't have the full variety. Longest cruise we ever did was 7 weeks on Arcadia in 2012, Sydney to Southampton via Africa, that was long enough thanks, but have done 3 x six week cruises and plenty of 3 and 4 week ones. For me, 3 weeks is just right.
  16. If a couple have forked out $100,000 plus for a world cruise that cc insurance is as useless as an ashtray on a motor bike.
  17. Did they win the lotto or rob a bank, lol. Aussies or Yanks?
  18. Like what I had to put with from 1967 to 2003. But one never forgets what one has seen and done as you would know, we see things no man or woman should see. Like my neighbours and family say, but 'Les you get a good pension from your service in the force.' Sure I do, but I paid into the scheme for 36 years and it was compulsory to be in it from day 1.
  19. Enjoy your MSG lunch, lol (MDR) You sure got on early.
  20. Well said, good post. You and your hubby are in the front line, like I was for 36 yrs in the👮‍♂️ and get zilch from the Govt. Unlike the ex navy, army, airforce most of whom were not in the front line, never faced an angry man, but in retirement they get these gold vet affairs cards for everything under the sun. Not right. Anyway, you guys, nurses, paramedics are the salt of the earth, keep up your great work.
