  1. Unfortunately the Complimentary laundry for Elite and elite+ is returned on day 3. So if you hand in the laundry before 9am on a Monday they promise it will be back in Wednesday. If you had it in on Monday after 9am it probably won't be returned until Thursday. It's annoying.
  2. Just to be clear in an IV room you NEVER go out to your balcony because it's not a balcony but just a portion of your inside room. So even if have the window down and the frosted bifold doors closed you're not outside, you never left your room. All you did was open a window and closed a room divider. It's impossible to be outside in an IV cabin.
  3. I don't think casino's Drinks Everywhere includes Energy drinks. Gatorade, yes Energy drinks no.
  4. It's not about serious but about being clear what is actually being served regardless of what Carnival calls it.
  5. NONE of the ship's in Celebrity's fleet have any of the things you mentioned.
  6. It's hard to see in the photo I took but there's no room to squeeze by the TV at the foot of the bed without hitting the TV with your shoulders unless you shimmy and tilt your torso away from the TV. It's annoying as hell and as _tacocat_ (love the screen name!) explained it was made worse by adding the decorative wooden slats which pushed the TV out further another few inches. What they should have done was left the TV mounted to the wall and installed the slats around it.
  7. Yes, the fee is waived for invited casino guests.
  8. No, the 2 person layout isn't the same on all 2 person XL Cabins. First pic is Squishy XL cabin, Second pic is non-Squishy XL cabin.
  9. Java Blue Cafe. On Excel Class ships there's additional venues such as Havana Bar,Bar Della Rosa, Bar 820.
  10. Just to be clear what's served in both the buffet and at brunch Isn't Orange JUICE. It's an Orange DRINK. http://barbusinesstt.com/fruit-juice-vs-fruit-drink-whats-the-difference/
  11. There's no drains because the faux balcony is just the end of your cabin inside, so of course there's no drain. . That's why I can never understand how people try to convince themselves it's just like a real balcony.
  12. Just got off the phone with Captains Club dialing the above number. They were going to transfer me to Blue Chip Club since my sailing is a casino comped cruise but after 20 minutes on hold (the original customer service agent was actually on hold to transfer the call ) the agent proactively asked her supervisor if she can go ahead and process the wifi purchase and was given the OK, so all went well and I was given both the pre-cruise discount AND the Elite+ discount!
  13. On both ship designs the shopping areas are not like those on the larger Royal Caribbean ships. There are certainly different types of shops but they aren't arranged like a shopping mall. The atriums of both ships have mainly various bars, seating areas and restaurants that surround the multiple deck atriums. The shops line the hallways on a couple of decks.
  14. I agree that the Eden Cafe brownies on the Beyond ARE DIFFERENT than the other E-Class ships. On the previous ships the brownie had a crisp, browned top layer, which is missing from the brownies on the Beyond. Here's a photo how they SHOULD BE. Edit: The Brownies on the Edge and Apex tasted EXACTLY the same, it's the brownies on the Beyond that are different. Whatsmore the Beyond had the same brownies at Cafe al Bacio, which isn't the case on the Edge or Apex.
  15. Should be more than OK, You have a panoramic window that opens.
  16. I think there's many factors that play into this;cabin location, outside temperatures, sun exposure, etc. . I don't think this is a systemic issue with the E-class cabins. At this point I wouldn't fret about this, TBH there's nothing you can do about it now. You'll probably be fine in your cabin.
  17. No, but that doesn't mean that occasionally you won't see it happen. But the guideline are you cannot.
  18. I have read of some people thinking the AC on E-Class ships were a little problematic. I was going to mention to the OP that there were some reports but I didn't want to alarm them. Comfortable room temperatures are such a personal thing. We like our temps on the warmer side so for us there's never an issue; in fact most of the time we leave the thermostat on our cruise ship cabins either at the neutral point or even one click to the warmer side or one click to the cooler side (on Eclass ship the thermostat allows you to select actual temps for the setting). As an aside my brother and sister in law enjoy there room temps COLD and it's always an issue when they come visit us since it's always in the summer invariably on the hottest days, lol.
  19. Yes, we have no problem with the AC on E-Class ships. Just remember though if you haven't read the other threads about the issue of the AC turning off whenever the IV window is down. My husband and I enjoy the room temperature on the warmer side so on our last cruise towards the beginning as we approached warmer waters (we left from NJ go to Ft Lauderdale) we would leave the window open overnight and enjoyed the sounds of the water and air. But once we were in Curacao and Aruba it was too hot to leave the window down any length of time either during the day or night since the AC shuts off.
  20. Yes. When we board the Solstice this Saturday my husband's BCC comped cabin is a Conceige class with all included. On the other hand my comped cabin is just a veranda, no extras. He's the gambler and I'm not, so I was one of the lucky ones to receive a BCC offer but without really gambling any more than $20-$60 total on any cruise.
  21. No, the light didn't have any effect on the mirror heat. The first time I encountered this on the Edge I was actually concerned something was wrong and asked the cabin attendant about it and they just said that's the way it is. When we entered our room on the Beyond in October I was checking out to see what was different from the other two ships and I noted that the heated mirror stayed the same, lol.
  22. I've been on Aquaclass on both the Edge and Beyond this past October and can vouch that the bathroom mirror in our cabins heated not only the mirror but the bathroom itself. When you touch the mirror, it's hot, not warm, but hot. Not enough to burn your hand, but enough to feel like a heating pad.
