  1. Generally, they alternate balcony - bathroom -- balcony --bathroom, etc. Cruisedeckplans dot com has pics so one can figure it out. (Corrected as per 39August post after this post) Here's some examples of what I see: ---------------------------------------------------------- In the bow area deck 8 V2s 8187 is by the balcony (Port) 8185 is by the bathroom (Port) 8114 is by the balcony (Starboard) 8116 is by the bathroom (Starboard) --------------------------------------------------------- Bow in front of hump deck 8 V2s No pics for Port side so I can't be sure. 8216 is by the balcony (Starboard) 8214 is by the bathroom (Starboard) --------------------------------------------------------- Aft in back of hump deck 8 V2s 8327 is by the balcony (Port) 8311 is by the bathroom (Port) 8312 is by the balcony (Starboard) 8310 is by the bathroom (Starboard) -------------------------------------------------------- V1s on hump Deck 8 No pics for Port side so I can't be sure. 8240 is by the balcony (Starboard) 8246 is by the bathroom (Starboard) ----------------------------------------------------------- In the bow area deck 9 V1s 9145 is by the balcony (Port) 9151 is by the bathroom (Port) 9128 is by the balcony (Starboard) 9134 is by the bathroom (Starboard) --------------------------------------------------------- I couldn't find any definitive pics on the rest of deck 9...in fact I found a conflicting set of pics on the bath-bal-bath order of things...I think those folks submitted pics but put down the wrong stateroom number. So, this data is only as good as what is on cruisedeckplans dot com. (That's my disclaimer...lol) I hope this helps...
  2. Glad I'm not the only one...that's why I deleted my post...
  3. Well, never mind...I finally googled an up-to-date status report on this...as expected, Sun is way down the schedule for starlink. Smooth sailing!!
  4. I'm assuming no but am asking here...since my Search never returned a result. Other searches just seem to refer to the Joy... Thanks!
  5. Yep, Shorex too. Lol...in a not so easy to access place but there if I need it. I always know where it is and I'm always aware of my surroundings. Guess it comes from my years of living in NYC. It's just second nature for me after years of traveling for business and pleasure, nationally and internationally. BTW, I'm also reasonably sure your passport card would be adequate for the Canada/US crossing.
  6. I always pack my passport when I cruise. Period. If I don't need it...no harm done.
  7. Hi. I have found a few locations in Papeete for storing our luggage but wanted to ask folks here for their experiences if they stored their luggage in Papeete. We are arriving in the early morning but our flight out isn't until almost midnight! Figure we can tour the island while we wait *if* we don't have to drag around our luggage. Thanks and smooth sailing!
  8. Whew! Thanks...being new to this board I had to ask... Sure glad that got overturned...DW and I like to bring back a desert now and then...perhaps some cheese and crackers, etc...
  9. Whoa! What this? You can't bring food to your cabin?? (NCL 1st timer question...)
  10. This article pairs well with the Forbes article... 🤣😂🤣
  11. Thanks, I know you meant well but I've cruised more than a few times, even with X. I am traveling in a suite so I don't need to get an early slot. But our friends who are not in a suite and live in London wanted to know because they will need to check out of their hotel pretty early and don't want to hang around in the terminal. I really didn't remember when check-in opened up so didn't want to give them bogus info. I passed along the info as well as your observations about slot availability. Lol...they really don't want to leave anything to chance! I'm sure they will be fine...
  12. I know I've seen this in a thread or two but now I can't find it...I remember Jim made it clear...but I'm at a loss now. Is it available after midnight eastern time? Or pacific time? Apologies for the bother...🙃 Thanks!
  13. Exactly what I thought when I first saw this thread. Which saddens me as we just booked our first VO (for November next year!) and now I fear for a diluted experience. But, hey, not about to cancel on speculation...I remain hopeful it will still be a worthwhile experience.
  14. I tip for services rendered...after they are rendered. 🙂 (except for pre-paid grats) And I don't care who or when or how or how much others tip...or don't. It's none of my business and they ain't using my money.
  15. Thanks everyone! I am a little upset with myself that I didn't mention I would be on the Sun for this cruise. (I had mentioned it in other topics when I posted them but forgot on this one...) I know it's an older ship so I don't expect a lot of new tech... I've been kinda wondering what 300 minutes of 'Internet Connectivity' gets me. Hopefully, I'll be able to text my sister but if not, I'll upgrade to the next level after I board. I appreciate everyone's help in setting my expectations...
  16. Does one have to pay for everything...like an On Demand sort of platform? Is there anything available for free? While I don't watch much tv as a rule, DW enjoys it in the evenings...and sea days. Searching on television delivered mixed results... I expect that MDR/Specialty menus will be available on the TV and the days events. Come to think of it, will the safety videos be on the stateroom TV and do we physically go to muster stations for that?? Thanks for any info and smooth sailing to all!
  17. Amen to that! I have been astounded by what gets released into the field...I sometimes wonder if they are all using the same 3rd party company...
  18. LOLOL!!! "And when it comes to complaints, my advocacy team almost never hears from Celebrity customers." Are they serious?? And they say money can't buy love...
  19. OT: Wow. I'm doing the Hawaii to Polynesia in October on the Sun. There are NO excursions less than $100. And darn few of those. I am finding that NCL has the most expensive excursions I've encountered. By far. Fortunately, I usually roll my own. (But then I've only cruised Celebrity, Princess, and Cunard.) Going back to the topic, I am grateful that the OP started this thread. I was unaware of the shareholder OBC and I am indeed a shareholder.
  20. In my younger days I would not even consider not buying the package. I was shocked at how reasonable the cost for the package was...especially compared to most any other cruise line. Nowadays, well, I just go a la carte...not to mention that my DW doesn't hardly drink at all. She'll be more than happy with wine served during lunch or dinner. And I find that the price of drinks is also quite reasonable...again, compared to most any other line. So, the package has no value for me now...sadly 😂
  21. This thread would go well with the recent thread about circumventing the NCL drink package restriction on 'sharing' drinks with a 3rd non-paying person! 😃
