Same here when I booked on the Apex last June...

I don't think you can override the Bridge Cam...but you go to Live TV where the bridge cam is and there are two other channels, they can be re-directed to a firestick. It can be tricky as you don't have a lot of time before it tries to connect to a channel. I bring a laptop which I use as a hotspot...I have the firestick attach to it and have my phone attach to it as well when I'm in the cabin. (and my fire tablet, etc...up to 8 devices...) I get the most out of that single connection...lol. I know some folks bring a portable router instead...

I used my firestick on the Majestic all thru Oct last year...was in a mini suite for a transpacific...had a hiccup every now and then but usually fine quality...hardest part was getting the connector extension to the plug on the TV...

Thanks, yes, I know that. But that is after I've actually booked. Sorry if I wasn't clear...on the website it used to be part of the process of booking a cruise. After you entered your info (names, etc), you used to be prompted for transfers, then prompted if you wanted their vacation cancellation protection. That way you got the total price before hitting the payment screen. The last two steps having not been showing up when I've been checking out itineraries...

Sorry if I missed a thread on this... Lately when I've been researching fares for various itineraries, I am never asked if I want coverage for my booking (I am also never asked if I want any transfers to/from anywhere...). After filling in our info, it goes directly to the Pay Deposit screen. Is Princess not pushing its insurance anymore? Is the crack IT team at it again?? Or is this just some user error...lol. Anyone else notice this?? Or am I just special and they don't want to charge me...😀

The last 3 times I tried using chat, that was also my result. I would get down to 0, get asked if I was still waiting and then would never get anything after that. The third time was the last time. I'm done with that...it's obviously busted or just for show... ETA: Oh, and I notice we're from the same place!! Nice to meet another Earthling! 😃

Yep, do see this from time to time over the last month or so. And it happens at strange times. For example, I'll be looking at excursions on my cruise...then go to my order history to check the price I paid for an excursion (yeah, looking for a drop...), then go back to the main reservation page and click on Mange my Reservation on that cruise...and find it's locked. Then I just log out and come back later... Interestingly, it doesn't happen all the time. The only other time I've seen it locked was when I was working with a support rep...they had made a change and after I hung up, the reservation was locked...but this is normal...

Sorry, I'm paranoid...I do the payment and do it well before the final date. I have had enough 'close calls' in other things that shouldn't have happened but did. Not ever going to take the risk of losing my cruise due to some funky happenstance. And believe me, I'm a technocrat...lol...
