  1. Heck, you're not paranoid...you're just careful. Besides, I do the same thing...lol. And, remember, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get ya! (that's a joke, folks...) I guess I didn't quite get the point (new to NCL), but I have the same situation as mentioned in post 18... I also did a chat and it was verified that all my stuff was there...albeit spread out to two docs. I trust (well sorta...) that all will be well when we sail on Oct.23rd. I will say that NCL is the only cruise line I've seen this on. Cunard, Princess, and X were all quite clear all the time. (I know, amazing, huh?)
  2. Thanks...that is what we usually do, too...but sometimes my DW (and I) suddenly want something later at night when we've settled in. I'm sure the butler can fill me in...lol...
  3. I just can't seem to find the info on what one gets when booking a suite...besides the butler. Like, do you get charged for room service? Do you get charged full price for alcohol when delivered via room service?? (It is my understanding that packages do not cover room service orders...) Any snacks delivered daily? Spa/thermal stuff? Appreciate any info on this sort of thing...
  4. Oh my goodness, Mr. Schmoopie...I do believe you have convinced me to give the snails a go. I have indeed sworn in the past that such would never (ever!) be on a plate in front of me...let alone making their way to my mouth voluntarily. Enjoying your 'not live' presentation. Good info and lots of laughs!
  5. Others may not care but I sure do. Mail sent. Short and sweet. Final payment isn't until June so I have plenty of time to see if the smoke settles (pun intended...). Since my cruise is to the Caribbean, I have plenty of other choices besides Princess. I can't help thinking that this wasn't well thought out...putting it mildly...
  6. Oh my goodness! I can hardly wait...I'm sailing in late October... When do they start arriving?? After check-in? Or just haphazardly? Thanks to those that pointed out it will be on in my stateroom and that the tv will be locked until I get thru it. I've gotten used to doing the unpacking with it on in the background...
  7. Sorry for butchering the wording...I prepaid the DSC...and paid the extra $5/pdpp when I upgraded to a suite. I am aware that the butler and concierge are not included in that. I always tip them separately. When I make changes (like to a different category SR) I get two emails from NCL. One is the booking confirmation with all the details...the other one is an 'Amenity Confirmation.' The amenity one has the line I posted in my OP. Not sure why that is there as I paid for the DSC...don't see how it is now an amenity?? But I assume that is the way NCL bookkeeping works? The DSC is listed in my Booking Confirmation. It is paid. (the suite rate) I suppose I should just have asked: Are Pre-Paid service charges (the DSC) ever a perk given to Suite passengers on NCL? I just want to make sure I'm not paying for something that was a perk for a Suite. (the DSC)
  8. I hadn't noticed that in the literature...but when I received my 'confirmation of amenities' email, it had an entry in it: PSCSHS Prepaid Service Charge for Suites & The Haven Day 1 in cabin 0.00 Note that this was an upgrade I decided to do....from a balcony to a front facing suite (surprise for DW on her 74th...). If it is included, I will need to make an adjustment as I prepaid grats when I made the original booking... TIA
  9. And it's not just cruise ships...same thing happened to me in casino resorts in Reno recently...
  10. And I think it's only a matter of time before they will wear out their welcome there, too...except for a cruise lines particular private island perhaps. I'm sure they'll pack those puppies right up to the limit...lol... Just my opinion of course...
  11. Enjoyed your write-up. A few typos: "was docked at Peir 2," "POA does not have some children’s facilities, but they are not very extensive" "You will not be surprised to here..."
  12. Thanks! We will take advantage of that on our next Princess cruise...sadly, we weren't Elite in '22...
  13. Oh, yes, we used them for that also. In fact, they always hunted us down to make sure we took advantage of our embarkation specialty dinners. (We were on a B2B2B in the Med...so got a refresh of bar, etc every week.)
  14. No problem at all...like memoak, we switch everything to vodka. Be sure to take advantage of the Concierge lounge...it was fantastic. As another poster stated, the coffee machine was outstanding! I was pleasantly surprised. And there are little snack sandwiches and other tidbits throughout the day. (Or there was...lol...it was 2 years ago...)
  15. You posted almost exactly what I was thinking. Where are these monsters supposed to go? I suppose they'll be a lot of 'cruises to nowhere'...the ship *is* the cruise...a floating amusement park, casino, food courts and malls... I'll have to just read the reviews and 'lives' when those ships are put into use. I sure won't be on them. Hopefully they keep some of the smaller ships in the fleet...
  16. Thank goodness!!! I was in severe withdrawal from your Princess Live...and so glad you decided to do this one with your dad!! I'll get my pic fix for the next couple weeks while you have a great cruise with your dad!! Smoooooth sailing!!
  17. Thanks for doing this great review!! It's almost like being there again (we went in 2019). So much great info here already! Thanks for sharing!
  18. Nuts...I'm not going to get my morning fix for a bit I guess. ☹️ You have really done an outstanding job sharing your voyages. You may be sure that I, for one, will be keeping tabs on you and your future adventures!
  19. Thanks...as I expected. However, with some of the stuff I've been seeing across cruise lines, I wanted to be sure, not sorry!
