  1. Or why not make the sauce for both at the same time…lol…
  2. We often travel with others and find it is definitely fun. Our best travel mates are content with doing things together and separate so nobody feels any pressure to constantly be together/do the same things. It’s great. The sky suite looks awesome…I’ll never be able to justify the cost given our jobs and ability to only travel during the most $ times of year, but I love hearing about it and living vicariously. 🙂
  3. Have stayed at Bucuti and love that area of Eagle Beach. Do not recall a huge drop off, but ocean floor/beach topography can easily change.
  4. This is like a science lesson… 🙂 I’m a New Englander and my guest experience with something other than cold salt water lobster was on a cruise and now fresh and brackish water lobsters? Who knew…
  5. Love the intro video…can’t wait to follow along!
  6. Nope, from what I can tell pricing despite the latest promotion is fairly consistent.
  7. On all sorts of topics. 😂 I’m going to stick with my IV I think it’ll be fine given the setting and maybe even preferable. 🤞🏻
  8. Ohhh…didn’t look like that but that makes way more sense. If I had another few thousand I could do a magic sky suite…c’mon powerball. lol.
  9. Perhaps it’s just the paranoia others create…thank you for weighing in.
  10. Thank you. I feel like it’ll be great in Alaska (I’ve been to Alaska in an OV and that was fine — we spent a lot of time “on deck” for better viewing. Friends had a balcony and I think the weather cooperated on one day to be out there with some wine watching the world go by.) Once I’ve planned a trip, I get to the overthinking phase…
  11. Okay so I’m paid in full, in an infinite verandah room on Edge for Alaska. I’m happy with my room layout and location, however, the constant hate for the IV rooms has me worried (I don’t anticipate sunning myself in Alaska nor do I anticipate huge AC related issues and felt the IV might actually be kind of useful in Alaska.) There has been nothing available but I could now switch to a balcony guarantee (which of course means I have no clue where we will end up — don’t care on location but rather prefer stateroom decks above/below for sound reasons.) Also, this would be cheaper than what I paid which would stink to “lose $.” Thoughts?
  12. I hear you. This is super confusing. I will be on Edge this summer and actually want a set table with set waitstaff for late seating (this is what I requested.) From what I’ve read (and anyone can correct me, please,) the booking process does not reflect reality. The website/app/booking vehicle asks you to pick when you really do not need to. On board, for the MDRs you can then eat whenever you want and wherever you want. I also believe, you can still have a set dining time with set waitstaff as I want (sounds like I need to go sort that out when I get on the ship as I have no options for dining reservations anywhere that I can see despite others saying they’ve done it. So that’s another confusing piece of this.) All of the MDRs, from what I’ve read, have the ability to serve you from any of the menus, so it’s more about the ambiance/availability. It is confusing because the booking process says one thing/passengers say another/and then there is the reality that exists. I hope I have it all right, but decided I literally can’t stress about that as we will be able to eat. 🙂
  13. What do the glass fronted balconies look like?
  14. I just booked 4050 for a 2025 cruise…hoping it’s good…I was told on here it has a larger balcony but then I’ve read things about metal versus glass so I don’t know much….this is my first Cunard booking so I feel pretty lost. 🙂
  15. Really enjoying your narratives…very informative with a nice dose of sarcasm sprinkled in.
  16. Can anyone comment on the non steak offerings? Are they any good? 😂
  17. Okay we went for it! Booked and hoping we made an okay decision (can’t do more than a regular balcony for $ reasons.) Have to read through Cunard Care and another trip insurance plan and make a decision. TA provided both but now I have to make sense of it all.
  18. There’s no way under any normal circumstance I could swing a suite and have never had an issue with anything you mention. You’ll get the vibe on here that everyone does but I don’t think that’s the case. No issues with spa, restaurants, etc. did my Alaskan cruise I can currently book any of things you mention on my cruise planner.
  19. Thoughts on QV 4050 for a balcony room?
  20. Not in my 30s anymore but my first cruise was on Disney and was amazing but I’d need to take out a loan to do that again. Since I’ve found Celebrity to be great and very appropriate for the 30+ crowd. That being said, it sounds as if some itineraries trend older and some younger. I’m confined to vacationing during school vacations and summer and have found ample people in your age range. My teen/college aged kids like Celebrity too, perhaps better than RCL and Disney.
  21. We are cruising this summer (premium package) but next spring we are doing a short 4 day with two ports so we opted not to get anything and see his it goes. We figured with a short cruise any gross underestimated are limited to a few days.
