  1. This has been a very strange topic so far. Has the sale started? Some say depends on your TA..huh?
  2. O allows a deviation request without a fee, up to a couple of days. That's how we were able to do it.
  3. Yes I will check, we have 7 cruises that we have not done a final payment for. Maybe some of them will be part of the sale.
  4. Our cruise is on Nov 13. We are flying Nov 10. We submitted the air request before the 90 day window closed.7 We requested two diff air carriers, but same layover in Heathrow. We are OK with AA, instead of aircanada, or BA. And direct home, is very good
  5. We just got our air assignment. Going 2 days ahead from Toronto to Barcelona then home from Miami to Toronto. We were given, American, Premium air, Toronto to Heathrow, 2hr 40 min layover, British Air to bcn. On the way back American 2 pm, direct to Toronto. It is not what we asked for, we wanted a longer 4 hour layover in Heathrow, but we are happy with the assignment O gave us. Amazing air price with PE, half of what it would have cost us to do it ourselves. Just hope it all goes smoothly, but we do have 2 days as a buffer. We did not pay extra for deviation and only 149pp for PE. Any comments or question?
  6. Are any of you intending to call your TA to change your existing reservation to take advantage of the Labour day sale?
  7. It's easy if you will be doing a new booking, but it sure gets muddled if you have already booked and now want to use the "lowest price guarantee ". Yes, of course I will reach out to the TA once I see that some or any of our bookings are part of the sale, but not holding my breath that it will be of any benefit to us. This is one sale that will beat booking early. Lots of wisdom and experience here. Folks that really know what they are doing . Unfortunately I am not one of them.
  8. Thank you , have already had a glimpse, but no prices yet...so far no itin interested us...
  9. We have done 3 Viking cruises, the last one this March. Never again, mainly because the food was terrible unless you had a drink package, then you didnt notice.
  10. Very disappointing to hear that the food on insignia has deteriorated to such a degree. This is the main reason we left other lines. Things must have gotten worse. We sailed on the Riviera in March and food was good everywhere. Will be on the Regatta in Sept and will post my thoughts. In spite of what you say, you booked another O cruise. Perhaps there just aren't any options.
  11. Yes we did as well and also have an inside guarantee. Did you do it with a TA? The only influence we have is ourselves but that's OK. I don't owe anyone any thanks. We have 10 future cruises with O, until May of 2025 but was told that has no merit. Will see how we do, may never book a guarantee again.
  12. Let us know how you do. We booked the second leg many months ago, when all was available. I am hoping that because of that, they would assign cabins based on whose money they have had the longest. Yeah right, wishful thinking.
  13. Yes saw that as well. Guess regular cabins lost everything a long time ago We gave up on celeb in 2019. Could no longer stomach paying extra for all kinds of things if you were in a regular balcony, including bottled water.
  14. Celebrity last week announced that they were going to charge for their choc chip cookies, $2 plus 20 % grat. There was a revolt, they cancelled the charge. But I am sure found something else to nickel and dime you for.
  15. NO to Indian food. But that is just me, I also say NO to Mexican, Korean, No to any shellfish and a few others. Yes I have been told, just stick to McDs...lol....
  16. Celebrity will just charge for something else. Although they already do charge for pretty much everything. Ah just keep enough alcohol in your system and you won't care about paying extra for everything.
  17. That is right in the nose, I would not want that.
  18. Yup I hear you, but hard to say no to a rebate check we just received from the agency we dealt with, for 2 back to back cruises, sept 7 to 27, for $695 US.
  19. And I have been criticized for saying it too often, someone even suggested I was an O plant...lol...
  20. We are Celeb refugees as well, with over 50 cruises. Now only with O, 6th and 7th coming up in Sept. And in TO as well.
  21. Just to add to that, I have been told that if I had the right agent, all this would have been settled months ago. As it is, it is left up to luck.
  22. We are also waiting to be assigned, sailing on sept 7 and have a balcony cabin, but the next leg, sept 20, LA to LA, we have an inside guarantee. All is sold out. We will be on the ship, so if not yet assigned, will be able to check once it comes through and if in the very nose or the very aft, will do our best to get something more mid ship. Yes, inside will do, but the motion will be difficult. Based on what we end up having, I reserve my judgement if I would ever book a guarantee again. Has anyone been on the ship, waiting to hear where they are on the next leg? Will let you know how it works out.
  23. You may like O so much that paying a bit more wont matter. We also dont drink and dont do tours. No tours because we have been to most places and love to just walk in ports with a map and get lost. But we love O, more than all the other lines we have tried, past and since covid, so because all is will be included now on O, we will try a wine dessert and will also chose a tour in a port we have not done before. We look forward to doing that, But none of that will happen, until mid 2025, as we have 10 O cruises booked until then without the simply more.
