  1. Ok, so when Azura leaves Tenerife on a Saturday with pax who have been on board for eight nights, a week, a night or just arrived, and you can book some speciality dining from home two weeks before your cruise “departs”, how does this work? We are booked on the Tenerife to Malta repo in March 2024, Saturday flight, so among the last to either board the ship or find the booking window opens.
  2. My understanding is that Azura winter fly-cruises from Tenerife are available for 7 days and 14 days, with departures from Tenerife on both Friday and Saturday. The P&O IT system seems to assign an individual cabin to only one of the cruises that might be running at any one time. Indeed there are probably Friday cabins and Saturday cabins. So when you look at a Friday departure at least all the Saturday cabins appear to be taken, and I wonder if when you look at a 7 day cruise then the 14 day cabins also appear taken.
  3. Both Ventura and Iona were already going to the Caribbean in January 2024, though not on the same date. Presumably P&O have some booking data already to justify the 2025 repeat.
  4. Our return flight from Malta to Birmingham after the Azura repositioning cruise is still shown as “carrier tba”.
  5. Washington Services is 2 hours free parking and then £15 per day. I assume the answer is taxi (at 5 am) or get your 19 year old son to drop you off (also at 5 am) in return for borrowing mum’s car while parents are away. Most motorway services have no way for the public to access from local roads. I can just about remember being that 19 year old son, but now I am the parent with son and cruise to plan.
  6. Solent Ships youtube channel reports 3503 passengers and 1346 crew as the numbers the radio operator gave to Southampton VTS
  7. For those who will be flying back I can’t think of any good reason why a dedicated charter flight would need to fly back to Gatwick. Plenty of capacity to fly into Southampton.
  8. 1st September cruise is still listed on the website but is sold out. Which presumably either means it is sold out or cancelled. But, heh, the map on the website shows a port call where St Petersburg is. Itinerary updated, map not.
  9. Well done.. sad that this is necessary as it doesn’t sound like a P&O cruise is a holiday where you can make spontaneous decisions on the day. Not really my idea of a holiday. My day job involves timetabling. P&O not making it fair for the passengers who have not read on this forum or other social media that you need to stay up to midnight 14 days before you depart to book the extras.
  10. How busy was Cadiz today with Britannia, Sky Princess and MSC Virtuosa in port?
  11. Weather out there seems to be rough. Marine traffic shows Iona appears to be heading for the well known Norwegian town of Margate.
  12. If you look on vesselfinder.com then the Celebrity and MSC ships are berthed much closer to the town than Arvia. Shorter turn around for the buses, and are more of their passengers walking?
