  1. We are driving 6 hours instead of one to board the Breeze to be on a ship with the Cloud 9 spa. When we booked the spa cabin was less than regular cabin with 2 full length passes. We are doing a B2B for 9 days total so this may be why spa for both came out cheaper. We love the thalassotherapy pool and heated tiles.
  2. This is what I am scared of. Can we still bring two bottles of wine? I also purchased the Anniversary wine decorations, will the wine be delivered on day one to our room?
  3. We are leaving out of Galveston for the first time this July. All our other cruises have been from New Orleans, hour from our home. We always buy the drink package as it makes sense for us. "How much should I budget for our drinks for day one" is my issue. I don't even look at prices of drinks so I am clueless as to how much drinks are. Also I have read that TX charges are also charged. Any one know the prices of drinks on day one in Galveston? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
  4. Hi TXTeach, I am also teacher, but High School Senior math. We have a former student that was just drafted by Green Bay. Both his parents work here with me. So, Everyone here is now excited. I am not much of a fan but I do watch my former students.
  5. I was able to book to couple massages with Spas24 code a week ago when I got the email. It was 30% off. It only work for certain items at certain times.
  6. We are trying NCL next year from NOLA because we are sick of Glory and Valor. Liberty is coming but its basically the same as Glory and Valor. I would be happy with even a Dream class ship from NOLA. We live an hour from NOLA so its too easy to drive.
  7. We were on Valor over Mardi Gras and were fine with the late night items. We could not be the only ones because there were always people in line to fill their plates. The lines were not long and it did not take long. I enjoyed the hot dogs, meatball sandwiches, and the chicken soup. I did not think I was going to enjoy the soup but I did. It was good to have an option that did not cost a fee. Although there was a specialty pizza my husband ordered a few times that had a charge he did not mind paying. He loved it!
  8. Thank you, just what I was looking for!
  9. We are thinking of cruising Jubilee in a spa interior room. We see that 5211 is square shaped instead of rectangular. We have had square rooms on Glory and Valor and love the open feeling. Has anyone been in this room or one like it? Is it similar to the Glory square rooms? Any info would be great! Thank you!
  10. Thank you, I am not finding their website to be very easy to negotiate. But then my cruise is a year away.
  11. Thank you, I meant NCL rules. So if we received the basic unlimited drink plan with our bookings, we can bring on wine? Does it have to be the 750ml bottles?
  12. I have never cruised with NCL and just booked for next year. Can we bring anything on board ( legally ) soft drinks, water, wine?
  13. I do this as it's just easier for us to carry and not worry about rain or spills. We leave from New Orleans, it's a toss up as to if we are asked to remove them from plastic sheet protector. Mostly we don't have to. 11 cruises and only asked maybe three times.
  14. Turning Platinum on second leg of B2B in July and I just checked my luggage tickets for first leg and they say "Priority". Yeah, not that I need early check in. We don't like having to hurry to wait in terminal. 12:30-1:00 is our pick for arrival. By the time we get on board and gone to muster rooms are ready.
  15. I was curious: The Goth subculture can be defined as lovers of Goth rock, Gothic literature, victorian and medieval history, and contemporary horror cinematography. Members of this subculture are often accepting and non-violent intellectuals who are sometimes just cynical of societal evils and have a fascination with death.
  16. We were in Costa Maya on 2/12/24 and had made reservations to go to Maya Chan. It is our new go to place for Costa Maya. They have separate seating (lounging) areas on the beach for each group already assigned. My husband and I were so happy enjoying our lazy day at their beach. We were not close enough to anyone to hear their conversations. The transportation, food, drinks are all included and they were so great at letting us do what we wanted which was nothing. Food was all fresh and very tasty. We loved it! We are not into swimming, just relaxed on the quiet beach in the shade of our very own. If you are interested, you can Google it. They have a website and answer questions very quickly. Have a Great Cruise.
  17. We will be going on our first NCL on the Getaway next year, so we have a lot of time to plan. We are CCL Platinum. I am interested in paying for the Thermal Suite for the length of the cruise. Do the prices change or go on sail? We have basic drink package and one specialty dining night. What is your advice for a first timer?
  18. Are there milk alternatives offered on board?
  19. Do the food menus change from day to day in MDRs?
  20. Thank you, we normally pick an arrival time for Carnival for 12:30-1:00 and just walk through and onto ship. We are in no rush to wait around.
  21. How does the embarkation work for NCL? Do they assign times or is it a free for all?
  22. Thanks for the info. Does the coffee, creamer, suger packets for sale or complimentary?
  23. Can everyone get the machine or just balcony and up?
  24. Thank you all for the information. I called the NCL agent and he was very helpful and gave me a coupon that lowered my deposit. I am officially booked on Getaway and so excited!
