  1. 35 mins is not 'so late' as coaches with P&O excursions arrive after this. If they quote a time then they should not be contacting passengers before hand.
  2. We were honest on our recent cruise on Britannia and having covid 3 days into the cruise we missed all ports ,being isolated for 7 days. It is disgraceful that the P&O policy encourages peoploe to blatantly lie about covid or any non infectious illness. I often get a cold as seasons change and believe me I would now lie. I cannot believe P&O because if you answer no and embark on the ship coughing they will ignore it. I hope you are successful in your actions and we are considering legal action also, althoough slightly different.
  3. On the same cruise I wore jeans (grey) and a smart t shirt for a show on formal night...no problem, nor being served at the Atrium bars. At the show at least 25% or so were not dressed formally.
  4. On non-formal nights t shirts are commonly worn and jeans. It is only on formal nights when the bars hope you wear tuxes. If you were banned from bars then they would lose tons of money.Theatres were OK on formal nights as to wearing casual dress (but as others have said, not jeans with holes in!)
  5. I donn't see the point of changing them at dinner time as internationally all the clocks etc on the ship will be wrong. In our many cruises I have never known them change at any other time except 2.00am which is the internationally recognised time.
  6. I am glad covid will not affect Arvia. Can you tell me why P&O stopped the FCC's? Was it because covid is regarded as over or was it financial.
  7. Covid certainly is a reason. It is rising rapidly again and ships are no different to anywhere else.
  8. Why oh why don't P&O bite the bullet and introduce measures at the beginning of a cruise or are they not concerned they are assisting outbreaks and the spread.?
  9. On our recent Britannia trip to the Baltic (which we missed most of) covid was rife. Even the captain, medical dept and Carnival admitted it. Seems maybe nothing has changed and they will wait a couple of days before bringing in compulsary measures once again.
  10. After 24 hours they change colour and fade away. We took a photo with the date of todays paper as we sail on Sunday.
  11. Re-read it. There is no such rule so presuming you have misread it.
  12. I too have booked mine for when we return from the Baltic on Britannia.. Sorry, I did not realise it had changed to 65yrs old. I am 74 so it is booked for early Oct. It seems Doctors are not doing this anymore as we are having ours Matalan (that well known NHS centre!).
  13. And pray tell, where did you get this information from? It is impossible to have your 2nd booster unless you are vulnerable or over 75. The rules are that if it is more than 270 days since your 2nd jab then you need a booster. Look on the P&O website to check but please post the correct info as you will create panic if you do not.
  14. Thanks for your info...it has been very helpful to a serious question!
  15. I don't believe that putting a flash drive into the tv is classed as 'fiddling around with their electronics!
  16. Can anyone (especially Moley) explain the reasoning behind disabling the usb ports on P&O televisions in the cabins. We like to take a couple of films or a tv series on a flash drive to watch if the weather is bad but the TV usb ports are disabled. I cannot see any reason for this.
  17. I understood that Iona could not get to Bergen because it was too big to go under a nearby bridge?
  18. I go every year at least twice a year (missed two years due to restrictions and covid). Going again in March. I know about the new dual crriageways, especially round Buggiba to Luqua Airport and the times it takes. It may well be the time of day we arrive (around mid-day) so it may be quicker in the evening.. I know where the port is as we often take a walk round there when in Valletta.
  19. It is criminal of Bing to say that. I would not be happy using the narrow Malta roads and allowing less than an hour. This is based on 20 years experience being in Malta (October and March) for 6weeks plus and using only public transport and taxis.
  20. Having many bus/coach trips in Malta and experience of the airport I would certainly allow two hours from landing to getting to the port. It could be longer depending on traffic though we usually arrive in Malta around 11am! so it is very busy. It is approx a 3.5 hour flight to Malta.
  21. How about an itinery where the ship will be able to visit every port ON the itinery and not just wander about the oceans!
  22. It depends on how many times you look at the particular cruise. If I go on several times on the same cruise the first time the price is always lower than the last time. They may not follow the person but certainly follow the number of times you look.
  23. Can OBC be used in the casino as on some other cruise lines?
