From an accounting perspective it's not a nightmare because it's all the same. From an execution perspective however, 100% a failure. They were giving away free money if that was the case. However, in all my bookings the Terms said it could only be applied 2 hours of after booking. So perhaps it was coded wrong which allowed it to be extended. Wouldn't surprise me as VV was young and made a lot of mistakes. They also allowed deals to stack on deals onto more deals. We booked a sailing were we actually came out ahead by sailing.

Completely agree that bookings that have completed or have been posted for awhile have/might be all been full. These specific types of promotions however provide a glimpse into the future. Like inflation, you don't see the affects until sometime after. I'm not saying this is a sure thing by any means. It's my calculated assumption. Either way, I personally am waiting it out. We love the Virgin Voyages' vibe, as I am a deep blue sea member. But the price increases and lack of incentives has had use move to other travels. Wake season is around the corner and last minute sell off are more advantageous right now personally.

From an accounting point of view, this can only mean that people are not booking and it's causing ripples in their cash flow cycle. Probably due to the reduction in all the incentives and the doubling or tripling of prices. This is simple low hanging fruit to bump up quick access to cash. However, for only 5% it won't result in much change IMO. Many news reports are now coming out that the "honeymoon" period of post COVID cruise travel is over and the industry is reversing. IMO, their will be move incentives to follow, especially for wake season. I'm willing to hold out.

😲🤯😬 These price increases and dropping perks is crazy. How is this sustainable? Are people really paying these prices for Virgin when other lines are dropping their prices. Madness!

So just a heads up on my experience. You might have to specifically say basic or well liquor if you don't know what is covered as such or know what is considered premium.

I don't like how they are swapping premium liquor or regular. On our last cruise, we constantly got up sold without actually being told. I.e: I like old fashions, and the server started up a conversation saying how he loves them as well. He then said something about making it really good if. I figured he was just cracking a joke since he was funny and cracking jokes and what not. Later when reviewing the bar tab noticed he punched it in with really expensive bourbon. Again at the pool bar, I wanted a simple mixed drink and the bartender asked what I wanted it made with, then suggested premium liquor... For a mixed drink? No thanks. Happen again at Pink Agave. I wanted I real margarita, not the fake cocktail mix. Server said sure we can do that. This time I caught on from the prior experiences and asked how much it would be. Something like $38 because they were going to charge 2x tequila and 1x grand Marnier. Don't know when this started, but is kinda gross.

Anyone know if it's possible to change the currency of a MNVV? I.e I bought it in CAD, but should have left it as USD.

What's this new rate? Is for a sea terrace, so is an MNVV allowed? Nvm: they just updated the name. It's limited view rooms now. Weird they only make note of that at the final payment page.

Happy to provide one experience. Really recommend try before buying a weeks worth. I know my experience was a freak occurrence, but enough that we will never spend the $160 again.

Wife and I did it while we were on the Honduras, Mexico, Bimini Itinerary. Our Bimini day was cancelled due to weather, so we went to try it. Virgin does a lot right, a lot wrong, and something that can't be judge because they are very unique. The spa is unfortunately on the list of things done wrong. Pros: Mud Room, Salt Room (bring a towel or burn your buns BTW!!!) and the plunge pool are great. Cons: Steam Room smelt like mould, not eucalyptus as suggested. The hot tub is the size of a thimble. Our experience was 2 ladies stayed in it for 1.5 straight and kept shaking for champagne. Defeats the purpose of "the circuit" and staff don't enforce anything even when advised. Also, ours was not a tranquil experience, if that's what you're hoping for. When we went, people were just drinking and mingling in the pool there as if it was a "cool club party". Again staff didn't enforce the noice level or disturbances to others, even when advised. I love a cocktail, being a drunk turd is another thing. Marble lounges are nice, when they are working, but many were not so I list it as a negative. I don't mean to be a negative person, this was just our experience and we genuinely don't recommend it to friends and family. The Spa on Holland America was great tho. Maybe get a day pass before committing to a week?

That red net on deck 16!!! Have they tried it. It HURTS to step on or use. Completely useless and taking up useable space.

Drink items - yes. Treat yourself items - no.

Wasn't the problem that it actually wasn't finished? There was significant delays on multiple aspects. If I am not mistaken, it was only finished 100 earlier this year.

Tried again tonight thinking yesterday was just a one off bad night. Tonight was worse. No thanks VV. Back to craps only.

On scarlet lady right now and it seems they have tighten everything up including video poker? No longer Full Pay. Jacks or better now pays the same as 2 pair. Both 5 credits Weak sauce. There goes our fun.

VV can call this group of sailors "Opening Acts" or "Headliners". Not a good as a rockstar, but better than the normies.
