Sadly, it probably will. Look at all the bookings for Icon. I would love to try an Icon class ship, but I don't see it happening for a very long time. I certainly can't afford these prices.

Looks like Star's maiden voyage will be on Sunday August 17, 2025, with an Eastern Caribbean and Perfect Day itinerary. At least that is the first sailing I found. Darn, those prices though. 😭

I would bet it will be even longer before one goes to Bayonne, which I would absolutely love to see. At least we get Oasis class. 🙂

If Star does in fact do the 7 night cruises with Coco Cay out of Port Canaveral, might they send Wonder to Miami for the short cruises to replace Allure when she goes to Europe?

So, we're getting Brilliance in Boston in September 2025. Interesting. Was kind of hoping it would be a ship from Tampa, with one of those fabulous Tampa to Boston Cruises. I was booked this year but had to cancel. Hoped it would be repeated in 2025. Being able to get off the ship without a flight home would have been nice. Oh well. Another new ship for me, so I'm excited about that.

Could it have been Jewel, perhaps? Serenade departed from Boston.

Something interesting is certainly happening. We were supposed to get Grandeur here in Boston, but noticed last night that it was suddenly changed to Jewel. The Grandeur sailings were still listed on either Tuesday or Wednesday when I last checked. Really wondering what is happening here. In the deployment thread, it was believed that Grandeur would be going to Alaska in 2025. Looks like that was changed to Serenade. Makes me wonder if something is happening to Grandeur. So sorry this is happening to you. This really seems odd.

Something very interesting, Grandeur is no longer coming to Boston in 2024., Jewel is coming from Europe instead. Grandeur is staying in Tampa. With the reveal that Grandeur won't be doing the 2025 Alaska sailings, and now the change for Boston, can't help wondering if something is happening with the ship. Maybe both of these things are just a coincidence, but I think it's kind of odd. A bit disappointed that Grandeur won't be coming, would have been an easy way for me to try Royal's oldest and smallest ship.

Something that must have just happened in the last day or so, looks like Grandeur is no longer coming to Boston for fall 2024. I have been tracking prices for the four night sailing next November, and was really thinking about putting down a deposit after getting off Serenade today. Went to check on prices and noticed that they were quite a bit higher, and then saw that the ship was switched to Jewel. Looks like Jewel will be coming from Europe, and Grandeur will be staying in Tampa. It looks like the only two changes are that they will no longer be a Tampa to Boston repositioning next summer, and there will not be a four night cruise from Boston to Halifax in early November. Has anyone heard anything about this? This seems like a very sudden change and could be disappointing for some as it looks like it will result in at least two canceled cruises.

Just got off of the five night Canada cruise today, and had spacious ocean view cabin 7502. I got a letter on Tuesday evening letting me know that they would be installing the USB ports on Wednesday. It was done by noon. So, if you are booked in 7502, you are upgraded. Enjoy.

Can't wait to see what ship gets deployed here. I would love Voyager to come back, but I know that's not happening.

Good point, it is such a short deployment. Still curious to see what they will send here in 2025. It's nice to be able to board a ship so close to home. Wish they would keep something here more long-term.

Yeah, it's interesting that it is later this year. On the plus side, I would assume that all of 2025 will be available to book at the same time, so that could be good.

For the Northeast deployment, I see four ships, assuming Odyssey, Symphony and Liberty are for Cape Liberty, and Vision for Baltimore? Is Boston not getting a ship in fall 2025? Seems odd that nothing is listed, but maybe it's just not announced? I know for 2023 and 2024, Boston is getting the ship from Tampa, Serenade and Grandeur.

From this list, would love to see Melody of the Seas. We have Harmony, so why not Melody? The musical names are the best!

Is it just me, or do the Quantum Class ships have a lot of issues? I feel like I’ve heard a lot of similar things over the last year or so. I haven’t been on a Quantum Class ship yet, so I could be totally off here.

Looks like I was right about Grandeur doing a Tampa to Boston cruise similar to Serenade's this year. Major difference is that it goes to Labadee instead of Coco Cay, and there is a stop in Bermuda, making it a day longer. Interesting.

Still intrigued that we are getting Grandeur here in Boston. Because I was curious, I tried to see where she will be cruising before coming here, and it looks like it is Tampa just like Serenade this year. I wonder if they are planning to do a 12 night Tampa to Boston repositioning on Grandeur. I am booked on Serenade's repositioning this September and I'm very excited. If a similar cruise is offered again next year, it will definitely be worth a look. Excited to see the full itineraries when they are released.
