Are you sure you get the match chips back? That's not the way it works in Vegas. If so, you may be right that this is a good strategy.

Your math is way off.

Roulette red and black pays 1:1, not 2:1, and these are match play chips. So for each spin that doesn't come up single 0 you will lose $26. If it does come up single 0 you will win $22. My math may be off, but something like that.

I don't think the drinks are overpriced, compared to restaurants (which are overpriced). I'm all for gambling, but I'm just saying, the question was about the "best" way to use it, and I'm pretty sure that's not it.

Agree with all of the above. It's not worth missing another activity for this. And the one time I went, they didn't even turn down the lights.

I mean, that's not the best way to use it. It's a horrible deal (though not better than just leaving the money in your room account). Statistically at best you will be getting around $0.45 per dollar, compared to other things mentioned above, which are all $1 per dollar. I don't think anyone answered your other question: Yes, the sailor loot can be used on drinks.

Sailing when you guys get back on Sunday, and very eager to know how the Haloween-themed stuff goes, particularly the Grog Walk tonight. Not really into Halloween, but normally love the Grog Walk. Need to know if I should still book it on Sunday. Sailing with some first-timers .

I'm like you guys. I tell everyone I "eat like a 12 year old". The Social Club will be your friend! Wings, Hot Dogs, Pretzels with Cheese. All excellent. The pizza is also not bad at all. I have eaten the same thing on all of my (6) VV cruises. Gnocci at Extra Virgin, the bread at The Wake is amazing and the steak is very good...the twice-baked potatoes are great. Steak with melted cheese at Pink Agave. I told them I have an aversion to seafood at GunBae and they totally took care of me. The steak there is quite good (not the upcharge Wagyu...we paid for it once and found the regular steak was better). But @CruisingWalter's videos really helped me plan my meals beforehand.

If someone wants a refund, I assume it's possible to transfer to another interested party instead? I'd love to get my in-laws on our replacement booking with us, but it's too expensive for them.

I asked this question a while ago, and found out if cannot work. If you cancel onboard, it gets refunded as sailor loot; not to the original form of payment, even if it's outside of 48 hours before the excursion. This is because of superseding terms and conditions. I tried to make it work, and could not figure out a way. It was sort of like trying to build a perpetual motion machine.

The release says "From January through March 2024, she will operate out of San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering two southern Caribbean voyages originally scheduled for Brilliant Lady including “The Southeastern Caribbean Isles” and “Sunsets in the Lesser Antilles.” (talking about VL). This leads me to believe VL will do the Miami-San Juan mermaiden, but I wish they would have just said "Dec 24 2023 through March 2024"...

And just to be a downer, someone who is on SL right now said that a bartender told her, "They have shuffled all the crew around who were supposed to be on Brilliant as they might postpone the launch."
