  1. As an alternative, you may want to consider Park By The Ports, which is part of the Casino at Dania Beach, just south of the port. $9.99 per day + tax includes shuttle service to AND from the cruise terminal .
  2. Once you are logged in to your specific booking, you should see "Food & Beverages" at the top of the page along with "Shore Excursions", "Spa & Wellness", "Packages & Gifts", and "Flights & Planning". After clicking "Food & Beverages", you'll see all of the drink packages including the 'Spirits' tab.
  3. I honestly did not see any 16oz canned/box water on our cruise.
  4. Can't imagine the grief some of you feel having to speak to someone in an unfamiliar accent about the 11 cruises you have booked.
  5. This is not true. You most certainly can order drinks from the bar and return to your cabin with them.
  6. You can upgrade from the Signature to the Premium under the HIA, but anyone interested in that should do it prior to embarkation. I'm assuming the cost will drastically increase, but you can upgrade to Premium on embarkation day from what we saw with other passengers. If you're on the Signature Package and order a Premium cocktail, you're just charged the difference in price + gratuity.
  7. Are you booking a Guaranteed Cabin or is this for Club Orange?
  8. It depends on the size. Any 12-oz canned/boxed water is included in the Signature Drink Package and counts toward your 15-drink daily limit. However, the AcquaPanna bottled water is not included - each bottle is 1L (33oz). There are separate water packages available if you specifically need one (like distilled water for CPAP machines). I'd strongly recommend each person bring his/her own travel water bottle/thermos. On our sailing on the Rotterdam this June, water stations were available in the Lido buffet. You can obtain ice this way, too. To make the process more sanitary, a crew member will fill the bottles for you. We kept our own water bottles filled throughout the cruise and especially before leaving on excursions. Since you most likely won't reach your 15-drink limit on embarkation day, you may also want to order extra canned/boxed waters at any bar and store them in your fridge cabin.
  9. Considering HAL literally cruises around the entire globe, it's difficult to understand what an "offshore" PCC is.
  10. I'd recommend posting this in your Roll Call group for your sailing. Hopefully you can find others to join you on that excursion!
  11. One of our favorite spots on the Rotterdam for a drink was on Deck 2 across from the entrance to the private dining area for Club Orange. You can really enjoy your time at those tables - the bartender for The Half Moon Bar will serve you. If you can snag a 2-top at the right time, the views really are incredible.
  12. I'd recommend joining the Roll Call for your sailing. We sailed on the Rotterdam in June of this year and will again in February 2024.
  13. I think the people who actually live in these very popular port locations have a right to help control the impact of their own cruise traffic, especially when that impact has been so drastically demonstrated after a 2-year standstill in tourism in the global response to COVID. Anyone who already knows about the natural wonders in Bonaire should understand their attempt to try to protect that. In the meantime, if you're that interested in Bonaire, you'll find another way of getting there.
  14. You voluntarily booked a cruise far in advance and agreed to the given terms with the applicable deposit & insurance to secure your reservation. Now you're unhappy with the outcome because of a risk you took on the deposit/insurance terms you accepted in order to secure that reservation. They gave you 6 months notice of the itinerary change, and you're accusing HAL of trickery and a bad management practice because you voluntarily canceled a cruise you do not want to join.
  15. Using the Navigator App, click the "Connect" icon located at the bottom of the menu. This will show you a menu of for the Chat feature. FYI - We have iphones and find it much easier to communicate with iMessenger once our devices were both on HAL's intranet.
  16. You should have received a Booking Confirmation emailed to you as a PDF from HAL that summarizes your cruise. If not, I would call them and request a new copy?
  17. I read your post. Your cruise is in March. You were informed of these changes 6 months in advance before final payment was due.
  18. HAL's website is notoriously wonky, so you may experience trouble logging in or having all of your bookings display properly. This usually happens late at night (in the Easter time zone) on the weekends. As long as the hollandmerica.com site is working properly, you should see a Login/Register link on the upper right. If you have not already done so, you'll need to create an account by following the prompts from the "Register" option. If you already have an online account, you should see an option to login using our Mariner ID # or your email address. Enter your login credentials to view your account. Depending on your device, you may have to go to the "Already Booked" tab and then click "My Account" to display your bookings.
  19. When local governments of popular ports of call decide to restrict the number of cruise ships/passengers, there's not much HAL can do about that, @Chemboy. There are ripple effects from removing Bonaire for multiple itineraries, similar to the switch from Amsterdam to Rotterdam. Cancel what you booked if you're unhappy. You have options.
  20. It's sad to hear you felt your GF options were limited and not completely safe. That was not my experience at all.
  21. We have an overnight in Aruba since our stop in Bonaire was canceled. We decided to rent a car so we have more flexibility in getting from one location to another in the the time we have.
  22. Tap water, tea and regular coffee at MDR or Lido are included with every fare and will not count toward the daily limit in any drink package. However, canned/boxed water will apply toward your drink limit as long as they are under 500ml/16oz. Any water product larger than 16oz is going to result in an extra charge, like the larger Aqua Panna bottled waters. We were on 14-day cruise with the HIA package and we never met our daily limit even on sea days. And we felt like we had a camp site in front of the Grand Dutch Cafe, we always gravitated there for just one more coffee lol. For what it's worth: when ordering room service, any "extra" charges will be indicated. Throughout the cruise there were a few cocktails and wines by the glass we ordered that went outside the $11 drink price, but we were just charged the difference + service charge.
  23. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2919390-anyone-visit-barcelo-recently-impossible-to-get-chairs-on-the-beach/#comment-64961948 From Amsterdam Manor: We offer beach chairs, bar and umbrellas located on the beach at the Passions beach bar. Umbrellas are first come first serve basis due to the beach being public. For renting beach chairs are $15 or $10 USD dollars per chair. We also have restrooms on the beach located close to the bar. Pool is not accessible for non-hotel guests.
