Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Yeah it aint happening! Venezia is only there seasonally. There's more chance of an Excel going out to the west coast and Panorama going to NOLA.
  2. Im not saying an Excel wouldn't work in NYC. Im saying it won't replace a Venice class ship there. As long as the Venice class is in the Carnival fleet they will stay in NYC and on the west coast.
  3. Im not sure why NOLA keeps getting brought up. There's no way they are going to jump to an Excel ship without trying a Dream or Vista class there first. It makes no sense! I think it's fairly obvious where the 2 new excel are going. PC and Miami and don't be surprised if they take another play from the RC playbook and one of these ships is built specifically for short cruises to Celebration key. But the main point is, they'll be going to those ports so 1 excel at each port is on short cruise rotations. Unless Carnival transfers Venezia and Firenze back to Costa come 27/28 I also can't seen an Excel going to NYC. Those 2 ships won't really work anywhere else than where they currently are, well perhaps Virginia? Here's my prediction, im not using ship names because I think we'll see a bunch of rotations before or about the time Excel#4 joins the fleet. 2027 Miami 2x Excel Class 1x Vista Class 1x Conquest Class Dream class moves to Virginia OR NOLA and Conquest class moves up to Virginia. Sunshine is Retired. 2028 PC 2x Excel Class 1x Dream or Vista Class 1x Conquest Class 1 Conquest class from PC replaces the spirit class vessel in Galveston. The Spirit class vessel will go to either Tampa or JAX to replace a retiring Fantasy vessel. Galveston 2028 1x Excel 1x Dream 1x Vista or Dream 1x Conquest
  4. So whats happened with the new class order with Fincantieri.....
  5. Spirit maybe not yet but fantasy and sunshine are approaching 30 yr mark and by the time these new vessels come online they will be up for retirement (at least from Carnival corp). For a leading cruise line a 30year old ship is OLD.
  6. I for one am surprised. I would have placed a large bet on Carnival not going bigger in their next order. I was expecting a larger order of "smaller ships" to replaced the aging fantasy, sunshine and spirits rather than a smaller order of "Mega" cruise ships. I would also have guessed a few ships in the 150-160,000GT area. Certainly not 200,000GT+
  7. I can't see it coming to the whole fleet, remember a few ships have gone through dry dock since its launch on Mardi Gras and the only additional ship that's received it is Radiance. I think Freedom is the next once to go into dry dock and she'll be getting her funnel repaired. She would be a good candidate to receive Big chicken so we'll have to wait and see. I think it would be more likely to appear on dream and vista classes though.
  8. the answer to your question is 9/30/23. After that there won't be any OBC left from the pandemic but to tbh I don't think that's really been having that much of an impact on positive cash flow per cruise, especially the last 6 months or so as there have been less and less of them left.
  9. Carnival press release has Mardi Gras listed as "next month". So its likely you will.
  10. hasn't been released for any sailings in 2024 yet.
  11. When on her in June I recall the debarkation started around 7.30/45. We chose to carry our own luggage off and had to wait for our muster station to be called. It turned into an absolute fiasco by 9am with CBP pausing the debarkation process a number of times. I don't blame Carnival for that but at the same time they didn't handle the crowds onboard trying to get off in the greatest of fashion.
  12. As long as you are the primary account holder you can spend it all with your card even if its split.
  13. If it's not showing up anymore it usually means it's sold out. You can call carnival to confirm and also ask to be placed on the waitlist if any cabins open up.
  14. the 3 plan descriptions are pretty clear on the Carnival website.....
