  1. The Discovery is sailing to Mexico on April 1st (not the 7th) and my travel agent told me it is sold out, therefore it is showing "Currently not Available". April 8th sailing is a California Coastal. We are booked on both.
  2. To: We_Like_To-Cruise, Thank you for your great review of your day in Singapore. Despite the problems, you saw a lot of the city. We have started cruises in Singapore and spent several days touring before we sailed. Gardens By The Bay was definately a highlight for us. We also loved Chinatown and all the Hawker stands in the city. Your photos were beautiful!!
  3. Oh Bob, I'm so sorry. Did you report it or are you self quaratining?
  4. Hi Frank, we will see you on that cruise!! Are you booked on the shortie one before that?
  5. Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful and exciting day with the Komodo Dragons. Wow. What an amazing experience!
  6. Bob, I was thinking about you just a couple of days ago and now, here you are sailing once again! I will be following your "live from".
  7. We were on the 1/6 Crown cruise to Hawaii and Kristoff went missing for the 4 days we were in Hawaii. Strange it happened again.
  8. We were on the 20 day cruise right before yours. Had a wonderful time. Crew and officers were amazing!! As always, I am enjoying your writings!!
  9. Taking away the loyalty benefit was just one more way that Princess is saying our loyalty with them is unimportant. Just so you know, it started at $25.00 for having sailed 20 cruises, but increased up to $100.00 per cruise after 52 cruises which is where we are. It was a very nice "thank you" from Princess.
  10. KarmaCruisers, I would love to see the officers that are on the Sky. If you have a chance, could you please take a picture of the poster in the atrium by the elevator. Thank you!!!
  11. I did, but am not getting any luck there either.
  12. I sure would appreciate it if someone could post a current picture of the officers on the Sky Princess.
  13. I would really appreciate it if someone could post a current picture of all the officers on the Sky.
  14. If you have a chance, I'd love to see the picture of the officers on the Sky.
  15. Looking forward to reading all about your cruise. It sounds like a wonderful itinerary. Have fun!!
  16. I am really enjoying your review. Thank you so much for taking the time to do it. I'll be following along and wishing we were there with you!
  17. We did the Ho Ho last January in Honolulu and had a difficult time finding the nearest spot to embark the bus. But, when we got off in the end, there was a restaurant that we ate in and that stop ended up being the closest to the ship. I think it might have been the "SALT at our Kaka'ako" stop. We are going to take the Ho Ho again this coming January and don't want the hassle that we had the last time. The restaurant was a large one and there was an outside eating area. Does anyone know at which stop the restaurant is located?
  18. Please let us know what you receive for your milestone. Congratulations!!! I am so bummed about finally reaching 1000 days and the possibility of no recognition. Currently, I have 950 days and if Princess didn't cancel our B2B2B on the Diamond, we would have reached our big milestone while on our Hawaii cruise. All those sea days eating breakfast in Sabatini's would have been such a treat.
  19. Hi Tina, Thanks for clarifying how it was on the Emerald and the Caribbean ships. You mentioned that that was the way the Loyalty & Events manager was running her milestone program on the Caribbean Princess. I wonder if it is up to the L&E manager on each ship as to how they want to do it. Interesting. Hope all is well with you and Ken. Hopefully, one of these days we will sail together again!!
  20. I have a feeling that the ship anchored in the bay in Puerto Vallarta is the Diamond Princess. We were on the Panorama for a B2B and just got back last Saturday. The Diamond was there the first week, but the second week she was gone. I heard that she was back again.
  21. I am anxious to hear what you find out on the Ruby.
  22. Although it made us feel special to be able to sit up front at the Captain Circle Party along with the most traveled guests and be recognized on the stage, the big loss is not having breakfast in Sabatini's. This costs them virtually nothing. A couple of eggs and a few strips of bacon costs the same rather you are having it in Sabatini's, in the dining room or in the buffet.
  23. Not necessarily. As I mentioned, we have 5 booked Princess cruises and we won't cancel them because we are traveling with friends. However, because our B2B2B on the Diamond was cancelled recently we booked a B2B on the Carnival Panorama. We were apprehensive because our last Carnival cruise was just mediocre. But, I am happy to report that we had a fantastic time!! I am platinum on Carnival and received free laundry (up to 3 bags on a 7 day cruise) and it was returned later the same day!! There were many perks for platinum including $25 in the casino just by going to the cage and showing your platinum card. They have a lovely sea day brunch in one of the dining rooms that runs from 8:00 to noon. Lots of fun/free dining experiences for lunch: Mexican, pasta restaurant, Mongolian restaurant, deli, pizza, etc. I also liked that they offer anytime or fixed (early or late) in the dining room for dinner. We were B2Bers and after having to go to customs on turnaround day, they ushered us to a lounge where they had glasses of champagne ready for us to enjoy and the photographer was there to take our complementary pictures, which they delivered the next day to our cabin. The B2B people also had a fruit plate and a bottle of champagne waiting for our return to the cabin on turn-around day. DH and I wouldn't hesitate to sail with Carnival again. We also have a HAL cruise booked for next April. I think it's time for us to try other lines.
