  1. I know Carnival specifically prohibited fortified wines and has recently clarified that to specifically include "* Port, Vermouth, Sherry and other fortified wines cannot be brought on board." Does Celebrity have any similar restrictions? I can't find any on their website. We have a package but I was thinking about bringing a bottle of 40 year port for my birthday and I would hate to have it taken.
  2. When boarding or when you took the bottles to a dining room?
  3. I know that is what the rules say but were you actually charged and if so was it when you boarded or only if you take the bottle to a dining room? We usually have a package but I am thinking about booking a cruise only.
  4. which sunset cruise (port) are you seeing the restriction and is there snorkeling involved too or just the ride?
  5. They bring you a can. So if you want another can it would be another charge. If you buy a drink package onboard, you would still have to buy for everyone in your cabin.
  6. I think they are just feeling out a move to a higher price and then soften it by adding a discount to bring it down to close to the undiscounted rate without the discount. Perhaps they got tired of complaining that it never goes below 10% so they raised it to see if that helps sales. Thebe old $26.99 per day for a package that includes non alcoholic beverages that can go up to $9-10 per beverage didn't give them much profit margin at all.
  7. This video describes it but doesn't show it. The sofa is made up as a bed each night and if you have a 4th person then there is also a trundle bed on the sofa that pulls out. It would be nice thought to see pictures of it made up though.
  8. There are hundreds of pictures and dozens of videos of infinite verandas but I can't find any made up for more than 2 passengers.
  9. They are definitely tweaking prices on the zero proof. Earlier today, my October 2024 cruise had a 10% off the $29.99 price for $26.99 but my two 2025 showed the higher price. Now all three are showing a 25% discount off of the $45 per day price for $32.99
  10. 35% is available on my April 2025 cruise but not my October 2025 cruise.
  11. Flash sales typically last a few days, and in the case of a memorial day flash sale, I would expect it to go to next Monday but I don't see it listing the days so it could be anywhere between 1 and 8 days. Also don't count on the savings/sale to be the same during all the days. They do change. If you buy now and then it goes on a better discount, you can cancel and rebook again. But don't wain assuming the sale will be the same tomorrow. It may not.
  12. What happens if you pick a day and the weather is bad that night? Does it get cancelled or rescheduled or do they try to do it inside the cabin instead of the balcony? Just thinking about this for our Norway 2025 cruise.
  13. I have found the app to be unreliable in all aspects until you are on board the ship for your cruise.
  14. zero proof is back to the normal $39/26.99 price today.
  15. If you are looking at the menus on the app, it could be that some menu's have been updated and others have not. Until you get on the ship the menus that you see in the app are not always correct. I am on the silhouette now and Tit's is listed at $12 in the Martini bar. If you see two prices, the higher one is probably the current price.
  16. My guess is it has something to do with stops in Celebration Cay (carnivals private port on grand Bahama).
  17. *Complimentary fitness classes of choice vary by cruise length: Cruises 5 nights or less = 2 classes Cruises 6–11 nights = 3 classes Cruises 12 Nights+ = 6 classes https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/the-spa#Aquaclass
  18. I though he meant everyone who cancels, does so on the last evening. Not everyone cancels on the last night. Most people, in fact, either pre-pay or do not cancel their gratuities.
  19. I know this is nearly a year later but the current policy seems to state 1 bottle per person and that Celebrity can charge the corkage fee automatically when you board if you don't have a beverage package. I remember seeing one or two reports of them noting and adding the charge upon boarding although that seems to be few and far between perhaps a pilot program to see if Celebrity can get away with it without too much outrage. So I am not sure I would say "never" because it clearly is within the written current guidelines. https://www.celebritycruises.com/company/customer-support/conduct-policy#alcohol-policy Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onboard; with the exception of embarkation day when each guest (of legal drinking age) is permitted to bring onboard one (1) 750 ml bottle of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package. Security may inspect containers (including water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, canteens, etc.) at any time and will dispose of alcohol concealed in such containers. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased from onboard shops or in ports of call (which must be presented to security upon re-boarding), will be secured by ship's personnel. Alcohol secured by ship's personnel will be returned to guests just prior to the conclusion of their cruise vacation. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them.
  20. Did anyone who wasn't targeted for the survey PUP get the CC point using the link that wasn't prepopulated with your CC info? I used the link and did not get the point.
  21. I am leaning toward bad IT. I stopped getting mine when I had to switch my email address due to hacking issues last year. Like others I get celebrity mailings but not CC emails. The same thing with CVS. My new email does not get the same promotional weekly emails that I got before changing email address and my husband continues to receive them.
  22. Not in the cruise planner. If you booked through Celebrity there was a place when booking to pay them. After the fact, you can call and pay them. I believe if you booked through a TA, you would call them and they can take the payment. I typically just let the gratuities get added daily during the cruise especially if I have additional OBC that I don't have specific plans for.
  23. If you are looking for connection for gaming speeds, it isn't going to happen. My son does the direct connection at home and that isn't going to be an option on the ship.
