I could use the complimentary laundry, maybe the shore excursion thing but that’s about it.
it doesn’t seem like Princess is being very imaginative when it comes to rewarding loyalty.
I was able to do the nighttime stargazing thing aboard the Regal a few years ago. You assemble on the putting green about 10 or 11p. They turn off the lights on the stern and you can see a lot! I think it was a Discovery channel program that I saw listed in the Patter.
Last cruise, we were onboard by 11a and at the Retreat pool adjacent to the Sanctuary by 11:30. There was already a line of 30-40 people waiting for the tour/sign up.
Can anyone recommend a beach or beach club you’ve visited in the Falmouth area? My traveling companions visited one a couple of years ago but can’t recall the name.
I’ve been on ships with Fun 21 and some used a 6 deck show, some used a shufflematic. Not sure what determines that. Maybe the house goes to the shufflematic if they’re losing! 😀
You’ll do better if you avoid the gimmicks ($1 side bets, etc) and just play it like regular blackjack.
They were in their chairs most of the time. Very rarely did I not see one or both of them in the chairs.
We just thought their messaging was a little brash.
My Dentist gave me 2 questions to determine if you should retire.
Do you have enough?
Have you had enough?
It has been great. I’ve not been bored once.
Deck 17 aft on the newer Princess ships (Regal, Royal, Enchanted, et al) is the friendliest spot on the ship, because it’s the smoking area! They have nice couches and chairs. There’s usually drink service. There’s a full bar one deck below. Great spot!
HUACA. 😀
I was told we couldn’t use them at all until we were aboard. I was told they could only be used for drinks but not excursions. I was told they could be used for excursions and not drinks. They really need to tighten down their training policy.
Well the HUACA method worked! I was able to pre-pay from shore excursions.
Yay!!!
The only consistent thing about Princess phone centers is inconstancy.
I am trying to pay for the soda package and some excursions in advance of our January cruise with Princess gift card. I’ve been told we can’t use the card until we get on board. That seems ridiculous!
Does anyone have experience pre-paying for stuff like this with a Princess gift card?
Yes, it was very easy with our TA. I just forwarded the e-mail that I got from AARP with the card info and her billing department processed them.
Zero hassle and I got $2500 worth of gift cards for $2250. It’s a heck of a deal!
I notice that smoothies are included in the basic drink package, along with soft drinks and mocktails. Where does one get a smoothie on board? Do all bars offer them or are they only available at the IC or some other venue?
I just took advantage of this!
Ordered the cards from the AARP website last night. Called my TA this morning and got confirmation that I’m paid in full this afternoon.
It was super easy and saved us $250!
Our last few cruise have been aboard the Regal and Enchanted. Back in 2010, I think you could smoke about anywhere outside on the starboard side of the Crown. I don't know where the designated outdoor smoking area about the Ruby are. Can anyone clue me in about where the approved area are located?
