  1. I finished reading the thread from @jam19872016 and hopped over to Crystal to read the thread from @rafinmd. They are such a contrast in style. Both are great!
  2. @rafinmd It has been a joy to follow you in your travels. I’m so glad you were able to make all of this work for you. Take Care Of Yourself! That’s not shouting, just emphasizing. I look forward to your next journey. Susan
  3. Great posts on your blog @rakkor. Love Jane’s red dress.
  4. I would love to see them slide the cabins into place!
  5. I just read the posts to DH, who hasn’t been to Santorini, and we’ve decided if we should visit we will spend the day in the Spa and enjoy the sunset.
  6. @Host Hattie Thanks very much for the link. It’s a great read.
  7. @jam19872016 Hello from another Cunarder! It has taken several cups of coffee to read your wonderful postings. We’re doing this cruise in June of 2025 and I really appreciated your posts re. Barcelona. As @NE John pointed out, we are generally a pretty nice group, just avoid the conversations around dress. Now that a link has been provided, thank you @Host Hattie, you’ll probably see more people joining you on your adventures. Thanks again!
  8. What did you think of the rendering of the Golden Lion in the video? The glass panels didn’t feel very pub like to me. The main staircase is quite different from the other Queen’s. I’m not suggesting bad, just not the traditional. We were on the Oceania Regatta last week, which is very different from QM2 and actually liked the decor, especially in our suite. I’m looking forward to hearing the reviews from all of you booked on her.
  9. @jrmende63 Yes, the bags go straight to your cabin. If you ship them both ways when you disembark you take them off of the ship and leave them with an attendant from Luggage Forward. They deliver to your house.
  10. @dlwfarm OMG I love my spandex pants. I have actually pulled it off by wearing a really long classy tunic and nice heals. Oh, and don’t forget great jewelry. On non-gala nights - No problem.
  11. If you want to take more, but don’t want to check bags on an airplane remember Luggage Forward is an option. Use the link from the Cunard website and create a fake shipping to see the cost, which varies by the date you ship. I have trouble getting my toiletries in a backpack. 🤭
  12. Under Meritage it lists the Phelps Insignia, 2018, $350.00. That is not unreasonable for that wine. I think we paid between $275.00 - $300.00 when it was released. It is a beautiful wine.
  13. So happy you’ve made it @rafinmd. I hope you have a wonderful voyage.
  14. @NE John I’m going to round to $11,000 for QG PH3 7 day to our Vista Suite 7 Day. The Vista Suite was more like a Master’s Suite on the QV or QE, it was almost 800 sqft.
  15. Just got an email reply from my Cunard TA and she put into writing the inclusion of the drinks package. This is for V516C, Barcelona to Rome in June, 2025.
  16. Did anyone else notice the weird French Toast again? @rafinmd We want to know how your French Toast tasted? Was it toasted on all sides? What was it served with? @exlondoner @Victoria2 @NE John @Host Hattie Joke from another thread here, was it mediocre or better? (Tee Hee Hee)
  17. @Jim_Iain My DH has Dover Sole in QG twice during a 7 day cruise and fish at least once on every other day. The sole is cooked, boned, and warm plated table side. Request it the day before and he has never been told no.
  18. Just talked with my Cunard TA and she said both gratuities and drinks were included. But, when I look at the paper work it lists the gratuities, but not the drinks. I’ve sent an email asking in writing for confirmation that drinks package is included. I’m not holding my breath.
  19. We’ll add a couple of days in Barcelona, one for jet lag. I don’t think we’ll add any in Rome. I’ve been there and he really can’t be gone from work that long, or from the grand boys! I’ll be going back through postings for flight suggestions. We will want to book using miles through a One World member.
  20. Posted this somewhere else but…we are on QV for the med. in June, 2025. Q3.
  21. @NE John Oh, just do it! Cruise on down to LA with us! It must be the last cruise of the season for QE.
  22. Back from Oceania Regatta cruise. I haven’t not eaten in Brittania MDR, but the food in the MDR on Regatta was better than mediocre 95% of the time. Good prime rib but tough veal scallopini. The omelettes were better than QG, but inconsistent. Those terrible scrambled eggs are because the eggs are frozen! I found all food to be under seasoned to the point I went out and bought my own salt and pepper grinder and carried it in my purse. QG bread was better. I would say cream soups were better in QG, but I had a really good chicken and tomato consume on Oceania in the MDR. QG wins for dessert. QG wins for service. Oceania had better wines on their plan and a wider variety than Cunard. Cunard drinks were better overall than Oceania. There are more open places to eat on Cunard than on the Regatta. Gotta say, we booked our next cruise in QG and not on Oceania. Food and service decided it because our room on Regatta was incredible.
