  1. Check out this site for updates - Levi does a great job of explaining what is happening daily (his explanation of TS Dorian starts about the 3:30 mark): https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/ Hopefully Dorian will just head out to sea and not affect anyone - plus my freezer is full of food (I know better in hurricane season, but somehow it still happened LOL) and I don't want to lose power!
  2. Yay another great review! So sorry to hear about your accident The only thing good in that situation is that you went on the "Breakyourleg" AFTER your Breakaway cruise and not right before it! Hope you feel better and heal up quickly. I'd like to know what you think about sailing with just the 3 of you compared to the usual family style? It seems like we always have at least one or two (or three or four) other couples with us, and I've almost forgotten how it is with just us LOL
  3. The video here shows one of the hero's after the rescue - he looks completely spent: https://www.wthr.com/article/good-samaritans-rush-rescue-woman-wheelchair-who-fell-cruise-ship-dock TG he was there to help her!
  4. You're not crazy Mickeygirl78 previously posted this picture of the Symphony boardwalk view rooms on the 7th floor overlooking the boardwalk (the large round windows that I marked) Same on Harmony:
  5. Just for fun : https://www.royalcareersatsea.com/jobs/search
  6. Also while in FL check out ABC stores (there's 123 of their stores in FL, so it's hard to miss them LOL) - yum, Dubonnet on the rocks with a twist, baby https://www.abcfws.com/about-us https://www.abcfws.com/product/286505
  7. The ONLY time I would recommend the Dawn over the Silhouette would be if you could get one of the 3 bedroom Garden Villas - wowee, and perfect for your group:
  8. You posted June or July but not what year, so keep in mind Oasis will be doing these Bahamas/Canada New England itineraries in June/July 2020 . Bayonne/Cape Liberty, Port Canaveral, Perfect Day Coco Cay, Nassau, Bayonne/Cape Liberty 3 departure dates: Jun 7, 14, 27 2020 Bayonne/Cape Liberty, Portland/Maine, Saint John/New Brunswick, Halifax, Bayonne/Cape Liberty 1 departure date: Jun 21 2020 Bayonne/Cape Liberty, Port Canaveral, Perfect Day Coco Cay, Nassau, Bayonne/Cape Liberty 4 departure dates: Jul 4, 11, 18, 25 2020 The June 21 sailing to Portland ME, Saint John/New Brunswick, Halifax is probably the "coolest" (well temperature-wise, that is) LOL!
  9. Scary - when you watch this in full screen, it looks like they are assisting people running off the gangway of the river cruise and then about :11 the gangway collapses and some are left hanging onto it.
  10. I see it The print is tiny though because there of the square indicating the sofa bed scroll down here and click on deck 9 https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-ships/celebrity-equinox Or use this: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/dragdeck.php?ship=Celebrity-Equinox Have a great cruise!
  11. We had 10723 and 10721 next door on one of our Allure sailings - I think this picture was from 10721 but it still gives you a good idea of the view:
  12. +1 - he really is fantastic! Links to his Princess reviews are in his signature - but be sure and read his January Azamara review too (link below). I think he sold more people on Azamara than any brochure ever could! https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2627809-x-cruiser-sails-azamara-to-cuba-jan-15-to-24-2019/ We do enjoy Princess, and always have a great cruise with them. I agree about getting a mini suite (especially on the newer ships) and once was lucky to be able to grab an M6 premium mini suite M108 (Club Class so you get Club Class amenities) on the Regal, but - boohoo - had to cancel before experiencing that huge balcony (though I was warned about possible windy conditions being all the way forward, and since the balcony wall is not glass having to look over and not though). It's still on my bucket list for the future just for the space Here's a picture from the Princess board - now that's a balcony (picture doesn't show it but usually has 2 loungers, table with 4 chairs, extra chairs). Just the place to have your "Ultimate Balcony Dinner" served to you:
  13. + 1 on the dryer sheets Then the lovebugs will leave and the blind mosquitoes will begin (a leaf blower works to get them off the balcony). https://youtu.be/XXnnKngQTKs
  14. I also listened to the audio and agree that sound would be super irritating - maybe they need to rename that room the "Woody Woodpecker Suite" as that's exactly what it reminded me of LOL. Rat a tat, rat a tat, ratatatratatat - ugh.
  15. I don't know how far in advance these were announced (and if anyone was bounced), but it does looks like it does happen even for Alaska cruises - took a quick look and found these Alaska charters on HAL (so there are probably more out there across cruise lines): All Star Irish Music Cruise Alaska May 12-19th 2019 Holland America's ms Westerdam Ultimate Alaskan Summer All-Lesbian Cruise 2019 July 1 – 8, 2019 Holland America's ms Amsterdam
