  1. Totally agree. We have been on 11 since August 2021 and every single one has been great. We choose to have a great time and never sweat the small stuff. Some cruises, husband cannot get some of the food in the dining room he loves. I sometimes cannot get mushroom soup. Is it something to compain about - NO. Staff is working so hard and are so sweet and pleasant. We have no complaints.
  2. We have cruised since they started back up. Sure, are some things not back to normal - of course. But we have always had amazing service, good food, great shows, etc. Guess I am more patient than many others, but I am so happy to be cruising again. Been on 11 since last August and cannot wait to go again in 3 weeks.
  3. We are Pinnacle and take about 10 3/4 night cruises a year. So it applies to us just as much as the longer night cruisers. We take like 3 7 night cruises a year, but because we live in FL, we take a boatload of short cruises every year.
  4. It is right on Royals website. I just looked at it. We are so happy as our next 3 cruises are all 3 nights. So totally happy we don't have to get tested.
  5. I am SO HAPPY! our Aug/Sept/Oct cruises are all 3 nights - so we don't have to get tested!!! Our next 7 night is Dec and hopefully by then the 6 night or longer will also be gone. About time we don't have to get tested. Super excited I don't have to schedule a test for our August cruise!!!
  6. I read have many instances where it has happened. Maybe not so much post Covid, but pre-Covid yes. You were held to whatever dining you signed up for. So hopefully not so much now, but I do know it happened before.
  7. They still know you are scheduled for Traditional Dining. So depending on how busy they are, they may or may not let you in.
  8. As a rule no. If you have traditional dining, they normally will not let you use MTD If they are not busy, maybe. Best bet will probably be WJ.
  9. never anywhere by WJ. Breakfast is breakfast, we could care less. I eat fruit and maybe an English muffin. Husband has some eggs or something. In/out within 20-25 minutes. Have no desire to sit through an hour or more to have breakfast
  10. We never EVER take our own luggage on the ship. We check everything but our backpack and my tote with our valuables. On 3 night cruises, we do self-disembark since we have 2 smaller suitcases. On a 7 or more, we check our bags and get them when we get off the ship. I am not trying to lug 4 suitcases off the ship. We see it all the time, and all it does is slow down the process.
  11. We go back on Explorer in April 2024. Just went on her for a B2B in April this year and loved it. Thought the ship was great, but looking forward and hoping they amp it and put the pool area like Freedom and Navigator. Could care less about slides, etc, but love the amped pool area. Gym was perfectly fine with me, had what I needed so I was happy. We look forward to going back on her.
  12. Been on 137 cruises and never had a bag crushed. Way more damage to my bags when we fly, versus cruising.
  13. I have 18 booked right now, but only book the longer ones on board to get the OBC. Rest of them I book from home.
  14. no, it was a private party just for us with the officers. We maybe were the only ones making Pinnacle that trip, not sure, but no others were there with us.
  15. I do it all the time for a 7 night cruise or more. Get On Board Credit. I always know exactly what I want. Go in there, tell them and I am done.
  16. I have a hard time understanding why anyone cares. Only 2 ships allowed into CocoCay at a time and guessing Labadee is the same. We are off the ship shortly after we arrive and enjoy our day at beach until they throw us off!
  17. yes 12 bottles of 16.9 oz bottles of water, soda, ext.
  18. Paradise Beach All inclusive. An amazing place. We have gone there for years!
  19. We were alone on Freedom when we made Pinnacle end of June and we gave our cake to our cabin guy to take to the crew quarters. He told us it was gone in no time at all! We knew we would not eat it, and did not want to waste it, so gave it to the crew to enjoy. I even put a note on it with my signature, just in case anyone asked where he got the cake so that they would know he had our permission to take it to the crew quarters.
  20. That is what they did for us - no Top Tier Event, but they gave us a private party in the library next to Star Lounge. It was very nice. We just made Pinnacle end of June on Freedom.
  21. We just made Pinnacle on Freedom, end of June. Although they do not do an actual VIP event, they gave us a private party in the library. Captain, loyalty ambassador, cruise director, hotel director, and a couple of other officers were present. Photographer took pictures which they delivered to our cabin the next day. They made us a Pineapple Cake, gave us a bottle of champagne. It was very nice and they made us feel very special. I went to the LA the day we boarded and she already had it in her notes that we were making Pinnacle on the cruise. We also earned our 10th crystal block on Freedom. Pinnacle benefits start once your points actually hit. I already booked our free cruise and now just have to wait for our actual Pinnacle package to arrive. They said it could take up to 3 months before we get it. Our next cruise is in a month on Freedom and we will get the Pinnacle benefits on that one. Super excited to finally have made it.
  22. Don't pay for all the extras! So much out there is free - loungers/umbrellas, pool, buffets, Snack Shack, sports area, trams, etc. No reason to spend a ton of money unless that is your choice. Been there over 80 times and never spend a dime except for tips. If you have a package for drinks, that is also included out there.
  23. I could do that also, but with 19 cruises booked through April 2024, I just do them a couple at a time.
