  1. Then you just need to correct them with, “Sorry, but I prefer a small size, so give me half of what you would normally make”. The servers want to please you and will go out of their way to make sure you’re satisfied.
  2. I am very salad particular. On HAL there has not been self serve in a long time. I take my time when instructing them how my salad should be made. The were very patient and helpful and built my salad exactly as I would myself. Loved it!
  3. I can only manage a recumbent bike, so I guess I’m really out of luck. I’ll just stick to a slow and easy treadmill and some ice afterwards. The ice is for the gin and tonic.
  4. Exactly! It’s just convenient and for less than $10.00 for the entire cruise, it’s a bargain. I like no brainers!
  5. Actually, I think that you have much more wasted food with self serve. We’ve all see those folks who pile their plates high with everything imaginable, take a few bites of each item then leave. The wastage is horrendous. If someone else is handing you food, you will tend to downsize and choose only what you really want. Also, you’ll not be taking the other guy’s germs from the serving spoon back to your table.
  6. We have Premier package on our next cruise and I still purchased the water. So inexpensive and convenient. If I wake up in the night I can still grab a bottle and not run out.
  7. Was this a gift from your travel agent or Princess?
  8. Awesome! I was actually considering getting an Elliptical machine for home, too. I wondered if it would work for wonky knees. Good to know, thanks!
  9. We never eat in the buffet for this very reason. Extremely high risk of germ cross contamination. However, if it’s not self serve, then I would possibly reconsider.
  10. It’s too darn early for me to type! lol. Yes, of course you’re right and thanks for catching it. I wish it was Elite section!
  11. The Elite section is much nicer and has all the shade. The other side is fine as long as you get a cabana. We love the Sanctuary on other ships, but this one not so much.
  12. I like your style…..well said.
  13. If I find a core, I’m keeping it. Sorry, not sorry.
  14. No, no, no! You are very kind, but there are many members here who teach me something new every single day. They’ve forgotten more than I ever knew. They are experts when it comes to cruising and I salute them. You’ll get to know them and appreciate them as much as I do. We need members just like you! Eager to learn and share their knowledge. We all win!
  15. Well said, my friend. You and I are on the same page with this topic.
  16. Prices used to be $40.00 per person for full day. Looks like that’s up to $50.00. The full week price has always been $30.00 per person per day. Wonder what that price is now?
  17. Good for you! I lost my core, but I’m trying really hard to locate it.
  18. I have a recumbent bike at home, but use the treadmill on the ships. My knees don’t thank me for it. I cannot use those spin cycles either.
  19. Glad you came back to us! Just the kind of member we need. Looking forward to conversations.
  20. I just take the basic yoga class and use the treadmill for 30 minutes. One hour in the early morning and I’m done. And, I am a mature woman.
  21. I’m always looking forward to hearing about new ships, especially a new class. I remember when we were all waiting with bated breath for Royal Princess. I was so excited to sail on her in her inaugural year. However, Sphere class is over the charts!
  22. Honestly, it wouldn’t be my choice either. Sometimes an upgrade is really not an upgrade. At this point I guess you just make lemonade. Add vodka.
  23. What? Was the upgrade a real disappointment for her? Good news is the ship actually sailed, but not good news if you’re looking forward to the cabin you chose. Tell her to let it go and just have a fabulous cruise, as I’m sure she will. Love to hear her thoughts!
