  1. We did! One for me and the other for my DH.
  2. Are you telling us that passengers are smoking on their balconies without issue? Why are they not being reported by their neighbours? This is very disturbing information. We will not tolerate balcony smoking!
  3. My boys Nikki and Loki and we take their photo with us on every cruise.
  4. This exact thing happened to us with an LHR connection and we were also on BA flights. Last passengers on the plane, but we made it by a hair. I don’t ever want to do that again. Flight attendant handed us a bottle of water each before we even got to our seats! She knew we ran all the way to the gate!
  5. We like Rome in Limo. Very professional, clean cars and reasonable rates. Waits for you with a sign just outside the terminal. I would never take a taxi to FCO. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time before your flight. Very busy airport and lines are long. For us we need at least three hours before our flight to feel comfortable.
  6. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Years ago I tried to pay by credit card and was emphatically told it was not possible. It was in the spa and I was wanting to buy some products on my personal cc and not the ship account.
  7. Darn, that 51 days sounds terrific! I’m jealous!
  8. We have to wait for July 2025 for her TA. Everyone keep her in good shape for us, too! lol
  9. Not that I’ve ever seen.
  10. OCD won’t kill you but germs can make you sick enough to wish you died.
  11. Faux Sanctuary is more sophisticated.
  12. Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
  13. Count us in, too! Especially the European ports (we don’t do Caribbean itineraries anymore). We ate pizza in a lovely restaurant overlooking the Colosseum in Rome. Ate a beautiful spread of food and wine in Tuscany. Fresh caught fish in Lisbon and paella in Barcelona. And on and on. Much, much more exciting than a buffet on a ship. You eat lunch and make precious memories.
  14. Yup, that looks just like my body….thanks! Now if someone comes across my metabolism hiding out there somewhere, I’d certainly appreciate being reunited.
  15. Yes, $30.00 pp/pd for entire length of cruise. Not week.
  16. I’ve never had that problem. They always seem so eager to give me just enough and are quite pleased when I tell them what a beautiful salad they made for me. Perhaps this works so well on HAL because the crew are trained differently. I’ve never eaten in a Princess buffet because of the handling of utensils by many passengers and other unsanitary practices. If they switch permanently to servers instead of self serve, I’d be willing to see how it goes.
  17. Jo, you’re very observant and I was thinking the same. Wish I was onboard to see for myself!
  18. You are really overthinking this. When the server grabs lettuce or whatever you ask for and it’s too much just tell them before they toss it into the bowl. Most servers will take a portion of each ingredient and ask if it’s okay. Obviously, nobody can monitor how much people will eat. However, if you only take 50% of what you normally would pile on your plate, then there will be less waste. This is only a salad or whatever, not rocket science.
  19. I’m going to be honest with you guys. I put the extra bottles I purchase on ice or in the fridge to keep cold. I have plantar fasciitis and painful knees. I use the bottles of cold water to roll my heels over to get relief and I use them to ice my knees. We don’t drink the water lol. It’s for medical purposes and I just keep reusing the same bottles over and over. So, now you know the ugly truth!
  20. You are certainly in the minority. I’ve many times seen plates so filled they could feed a small country and then over 50% left on the table. You have to tell them if it’s too much! I never have a problem and I’m a very small eater. Yes, you’re right it does take a bit longer, but I’m really not in any hurry. I’ve never eaten at a buffet on Princess and won’t if it’s self serve.
  21. Yeah, but for less than $10 for the entire cruise, it’s just a back up in case of unexpected necessity. If we use it all that’s fine, if not I could care less.
  22. Take your own bath and hair products. One of our members recently took a photo of the dispensers in the shower and there was mold growing on the bottom of the containers. Also, it’s Dollar Store junk and it’s not certified cruelty free, which is important to me. I take my own in small travel containers and put them in a zip lock bag. Works great!
