  1. Thank you so much! It sounds like such an amazing cruise. I’ll admit to being more than a little bit jealous. I’m also a lover of fries, but I try very hard to resist the temptation. I love that you order only 3! Now that’s restraint!
  2. Beekman 1802 is my go to body wash, skin care brand. I would be delighted if Princess carried it! I’ll continue brining my own until it’s verified here on CC. Fingers crossed!
  3. For me, the extra five days with HAL makes it a no brainer. However, since I’ve been on both ships, I do prefer Diamond Princess over Westerdam, but a Neptune suite gives you access to the Neptune lounge, which is a huge plus. I'm sure you would enjoy either one, but if I’m going all the way to Japan, I want the most number of days as possible.
  4. Please accept my apology for completely misunderstanding your comment. I have no excuse except that sometimes what I read my brain translates the opposite. No offence intended.
  5. I specifically said that my situation does not apply to everyone. Clearly, you personally need to justify the cost of the packages. I completely agree that a lot of people need to take a hard look at the added cost. If you enjoy preparing spreadsheets, more power to you. I have no issue whatsoever with how you budget for your cruise. I do, however, take issue with your first sentence. No need for sarcasm.
  6. If I had to make spreadsheets just to see if I could afford a little extra for a package, I’m sure I’d just stay home. I look at it this way: Can I afford the extra $xxxx it costs for Plus or Premier? In the big picture does a few hundred dollars make the slightest difference in my future lifestyle? Will we enjoy having it? Do we care if one or two days we’re under break even? The answer for us is clear. Enjoy your life, it’s too short to worry about this for more than two minutes. I understand I’m probably in the minority, so my thoughts certainly don’t apply to everyone.
  7. Whispering Angel is the only wine I drink along with Prosecco.
  8. Unfortunately, Iran has now attacked Israel. I doubt if cruiseships will be cruising in that area for a very long time. Peace in the Middle East has become a pipe dream.
  9. We’re doing Canada New England itinerary August 24th right after you. Keep her in good shape for us! lol I just know you’ll have a wonderful time in the Caribbean! Please report back to us after your cruise to let us know how you enjoyed it.
  10. I’ve read that a few times from other members. Curious as to why some requests are granted and others not. Seems to be at the discretion of the cabin steward.
  11. Good for you! Absolutely thrilled for you. Have an absolutely wonderful day. It never hurts to ask. You may be lucky like our esteemed member @antspor perhaps not. Good luck and enjoy your cruise. We’ll be on Enchanted in August and looking forward to it very much.
  12. Good for you! So many others have reported that they were denied a kettle unless in the UK or Australia. Your first two words were really unnecessary, since absolutely many folks did not have your experience.
  13. Yes, quite a few people have also tried booking their complimentary dinners, two per guest, and have been asked for their credit card. I had no problem booking them with no credit card prompt to pay. I believe that if you pay, upon boarding a trip to GS will have the amount charged applied as refundable OBC. A few of our members contacted Princess and received this response. However, I don’t recall anyone coming back to report if they were successful. Hopefully, someone will chime in who has experienced this.
  14. Your last sentence says it all. Well done.
  15. I’m sure you’ll enjoy having the package. Yes, it’s lovely to be free to order whatever and whenever you please. We would be very interested hearing from you after your cruise with your opinion on how the packaged worked for you.
  16. Hoping you and the Mrs. have a fabulous time cruising Hawaii! Please report back when you get home. Bon voyage, my friend!
  17. Don’t forget my two Manhattans you promised to have for me!
  18. You can ask your cabin steward, but it’s not likely you’ll get one. A few CC members from the UK have asked onboard, but their request was politely declined.
  19. Yes, put the tags on before checking into your flight. One of our members recently posted that a friend, who works at a large airport, told them that the luggage handlers always try to prioritize cruise luggage because they know the ship will leave without it. I had no idea! But, it makes sense, right.
  20. I’m sure you’ll enjoy having the package. Not only does it pay for itself in our case, but we love the freedom of not having to think about anything. Our next cruise on Enchanted we’ve gone with the Premier package and I’m sure it will be well used.
  21. We use luggage tags purchased from Amazon that are virtually indestructible and very inexpensive. I doubt if many people still use just the paper tags attached with a cable tie or packing tape. Still, it’s good advice to use your idea, too.
  22. Your luggage will be taken from you at the baggage pick up area by a Princess rep who will load your luggage onto the bus and then it will be off loaded at the terminal and put on the ship. You will see your luggage when it arrives in your cabin. Very easy. Attach your luggage tags before your flight so the airline is aware you are going on a cruise. This usually prevents misplaced luggage never being seen again. We also put a copy of the luggage tags inside the bags, just in case.
  23. Are you Platinum or Elite level? At these levels you can reserve dining as soon as you book.
