  1. Good morning. My attitude and optimism are better today. If you didn’t check yesterday’s Daily afternoon I have been walking around since June with about an 1-1.5 inch fracture around the head of my tibia. It is healing no further treatment other then being careful. Meal of the day more of that feathered meat. Last night we had some fall off the bone beef ribs that had been slowly cooking in red wine sauce all day. So good. Another Doctors appointment today seeing my regular and to bring him up to date and review some test results. It’s 42 degrees outside and the temperature will only rise to 58. Wish I could be of any assistance to Roy but he is a 12 drive away. I can still offer prayers for a sound diagnosis and treatment. Graham it’s good to have you back. Understand your need not to advertise travels plans on social media in Europe but feel your pretty well covered here on CC. I’m also hesitant using other social media when I’m divulging travels and they have more info like last name and hometown’s. No one would want to deal with our Special OPs house sitter. Thanks Rich and to all who make the Daily possible.Bruce
  2. Just finished with ortho. Drum Roll Please! I have been walking around since June with a small fracture of my tibia. It’s healing, no further treatment required just be careful. Did not see that one coming. 🙏
  3. Good morning. We had a nice visit with Susan’s niece and husband. Had a lunch of soft shell crabs. Nice restaurant on the bay but the weather dictated enjoying from inside Sue made a delicious turkey soup from scratch. I’m ready to have something tonight that doesn’t fly. The leftovers and squash enough. Our thoughts and concerns are with Roy. This afternoon I learn about my knee and whether I need surgery before our cruise. We have planned so much for this especially Susan. Need to get the trash out. Held inside as I’m sure the neighborhood bear would have a feast from holiday trash cans. Thanks for the reports. Have a great week. Bruce
  4. We utilized the apps features on our recent Quest cruise. Checking menus, daily activities. Used the chat text feature and also to give kudos to different crew. To us helpful.
  5. A great message at church this morning. It’s going to be raining most of the day. Radar shows rain for a long time to come. A nice slow soaking rain. Just what we desperately need. Susan’s niece and husband will be passing by this morning and will stop for a short visit. We’ll take them to lunch if their time allows. We broke down and did put up some Christmas decorations but very few and can take down and stow in probably 20 minutes. No tree. Have a great day and for those in South East stay dry. How large are cruise ship getting? Well this one is over the top! Bruce
  6. Good morning. Waking up to a light rain. Spent most of yesterday watching football and we have no immediate plans for today. Will finish my coffee and will get ready for church so this will be a short post. Thanks for the Report and postings. Bruce
  7. Just ask. They try very hard to do it your way
  8. As retired military with Tri Care For Life we actually received compensation for over a $1,200 charge from some medical clinic visits onboard. Took some time but eventually we were reimbursed. First problem insurance paid Hal when we had already been charged in OBC. We were not aware this was feasible to a fellow retiree living in Brazil part time told us. I believe we used DD form 2642 to make a claim.
  9. Good morning Going to be pretty much a repeat of yesterday.Have been to Melbourne and I very much agree with today’s quote. Sandi thanks for the pics and hope you’re feeling better soon. As for many it was leftovers and tonight is going to be turkey soup. It’s brisk in the house and almost an invitation to get back under the covers. It will be interesting to hear about my knee Monday as the last couple of days it’s felt fairly normal. Sue being from Michigan we’’ll be watching the Michigan and Ohio game. Go Blue! Thanks for the reports and prayers where needed. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Bruce
  10. Roy thanks for sharing your cruise with us. Safe and timely travels home.
  11. Good morning. I do hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving as much as we did. As usual after eating I questioned why do I do this. Always eat too much and feel miserably stuffed. I believe Sue’s turkey was the best ever. She used a Jacques Pepin recipe and that is a keeper. It’s 46 outside and like yesterday will only climb to low 60’s. We have never participated in Black Friday and with our no gift exchange we don’t need to. I’ve been to London but have not visited while on a cruise. For many of us it is leftover night and weekend and more football. Enjoy your holiday weekend and safe travels. Thanks for the reports. Bruce
  12. There is a solution to Christmas shopping. In our family circle other than grandchildren we no longer exchange gifts but give the amounts we would normally spend to charity. Keeps things simple. Can’t remember when I last opened a present at Christmas or birthday. Works for us and someone in need gets some anonymous love from us.
  13. PHOTO We have a lot to be Thankful for including a World Voyage. Bruce & Sue
  14. Miss all of you and very Thankful you have let me stay so long.❤️🙏
  15. Just checking the weather and it’s our coldest day of the year at 41F with a high of 61. Heck we are colder here in Florida than New York City.
  16. Happy Thanksgiving!🦃 Good morning! Our special day of thanks is upon and we have so much to be thankful for. All one has to do is watch the news. I do wish everyone has a great day. A day to be with family friends and loved ones. It’s also a time of sadness for those who have lost loved ones but reach out and be with others. Love cranberry sauce and it would have seem more appropriate to honor all turkeys who paid the ultimate price for us. Those Chef Boyardee pizzas turned out to be really good with our extra cheese and toppings. I think we won’t wait so long to try them again. Today we start winding down with another year in the books. The years are passing faster. Enjoy your day count your Blessings. Thanks for the Reports. Bruce PS: You can put up Christmas decorations tomorrow.
