  1. The repositioning cruise does stop in a distant foreign port so no worries there.
  2. Transatlantics never had very much OBC and still don’t even when you book on board at the future cruise office. There will be some with an on-board booking but otherwise you would need to discuss this with your TA
  3. It’s usually best to go through the blue maitreD with this request.
  4. When sailing out of Southampton, yes, but otherwise no —- gratuity is not included in the price. The photos I have posted were for sailing other than Southampton.
  5. If you are purchasing a drink, yes, they will add the gratuity. If you have the drinks package, the gratuity is already paid.
  6. Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. One thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. Also, there may be some card game in the casino with a cash only buy-in. And if they do a fundraiser, like selling t-shirts to “save the reefs” and the like, expect to need cash for that. Otherwise, here you go: *Acupuncture *Airport transfers *Alcove Rental (some ships) *Apple products etc. and Ilo unge classes *Art Auction Purchases *Babysitting *Barber Shop services *Behind the Scenes Tours *Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water — if not in your package, also beverages above your package limits *Bingo and Deal or No Deal *Bottles of wine *Casino *Chef’s Table *Corkage charged if you bring your own bottles of wine to the MDR *Duty free liquor and cigarettes *Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants *Extend Your Stay program *Fitness classes *Flowers *Gelato *Gift shop souvenirs, purses, watches, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. *Gratuities, and extra gratuities *Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) *Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's *Hair and nail salon *Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) *Internet if not in your package, also Internet upcharges *IV therapy *Laundry/pressing/drycleaning *Liquor Tasting events *Luggage Valet *Martini Flights *Medical Center purchases *Mini bar *Portrait photo sessions *Pay-per-view movies *Persian Gardens passes *Personal Training Sessions *Photos & cameras *Room service fees *Ryde spinning classes *Shore Excursions *Shuttle to town (some ports) *Spa -- massages and treatments *Specialty restaurants *Teeth Whitening *Telephone calls using ship's system *Transfer to another passenger's account *Voyage in Review DVD *Wine and liquor tastings *Zumba They will always use non-refundable OBC first, then refundable OBC, And if you run out of that then it goes on your credit card
  7. Those are the events, and benefits are listed on the flipside of that form oh, and that is now slightly out of date because the elite happy hour is offered on embarkation day now. That is a recent change.
  8. Yes it’s available on a six night cruise —- put it out on day 2 or 3.
  9. From the terms and conditions
  10. It’s here on Ascent and I will venture a guess it will be in roughly the same place on Apex. Deck 5
  11. No. None at all that I saw. This was in Alaska so shorts weren’t seen much at all.
  12. Cans have been mostly phased out.
  13. We had an odd schedule last week on Solstice. Second chic night was actually the night before disembarkation—I’ve never seen that before. Lobster was the night before but that was NOT a chic night.
  14. Not quite true. There are 14 menus. They can be served in any order. So on your cruise you might find #6, #2, #1, #3, and so forth…. They generally serve the menu with the lobster tail on a chic night.
  15. While I imagine that no one on Cruise Critic has experienced this e act issue and therefore a definitive answer is not possible I suspect you are correct that they will have a list of the passengers to expect. how about trying this as a suggestion? Since you booked and paid for a transfer tell the travel agent to arrange a private transfer for you AT HIS EXPENSE. and tell him that if there is any snafu at the airport and you need to arrange a last minute taxi that you will expect him to cover the cost😀
  16. I never saw any special luggage drop area. I’m not saying there wasn’t one, but I certainly didn’t see one.
  17. Not sure if ascent is the same as edge, but here is where the connecting door is on edge infinite veranda staterooms
  18. Sorry but what do you consider reasonable? Are you looking for a large number so there will be playmates for your family? Or ???
  19. Nope. Just went through Vancouver and everyone checked in at the same place but after check in there was a small alcove with some pastries, juices etc set aside for Retreat
  20. Men have often worn kilts on dress up nights.
