  1. I have done a search for which pier in San Juan Celebrity ships go out from, and the post I found was a decade old. Please advise if Celebrity still uses the Pan American pier. It will make a difference in which pre-cruise hotel we choose. Thanks in advance.
  2. Our first Celebrity cruise was on the Connie last fall. We enjoyed it very much; everything was perfect! We stayed in a Sky Suite and enjoyed all the perks it had to offer. Sailed from Rome to Barcelona. I thought the ship was in really good shape. We enjoyed it so much, we are sailing next year on the Reflection.
  3. On our last cruise, we had a Sky Suite and used our butler for room service, escort to theatre, stocking refrigerator, etc. But we bought an expensive glass piece at an art gallery and needed it wrapped (box and paper and bubble wrap) in order to put it in our carry-on bag. The butler wrapped it really well----must have used half a roll of packing tape! It took me forever to unwrap it when I got home! It was undamaged and we were happy. Going on Celebrity next year and will definitely use a butler again.
  4. We flew into Rome last fall for a Celebrity cruise. Arrived early in the morning and spent two nights in hotel. I had a couple of tours lined up on our "full" day. I thought we might be tired on the first day, as we are not good plane sleepers. But we were so excited to see that beautiful city, we were "on the go" upon arrival. Our hotel had a free shuttle that took us to "city center", and we walked everywhere from there. Previously I had arranged a private car to drive us to the port on the last morning. It's around an hour and 15 minutes to go from Rome to port, depending on where your hotel is located. Our driver was a young man who drove really fast and got us there in 40 minutes! Needless to say, we were the first ones onboard!
  5. Please continue posting about your cruise. We will be on the Reflection next year and are very interested in your experiences both on and off the ship. Thanks.

  7. So I guess charging our electric toothbrushes will have to be done at the desk?
  8. And the bathroom? One or two plugs? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the review. I enjoyed reading it. We will be on the Connie next week, first time with Celebrity; so I am glad I got to read your review beforehand.
  10. Love reading this!!! Can't wait for more! We will be sailing on our first Celebrity ship in a week and a half! You are providing a wealth of information for us! Thanks so much! (Sorry for all the exclamations mark, but I am excited)
  11. Thanks for writing your review. We will be on the Constellation next month, and it will be our first Celebrity cruise also! I'm so glad you enjoyed the ship and the food, etc. I have a silly question: you said there were plenty of hangers in your closet. I usually pack a handful of wire hangers (and leave them), as I like to hang most of my clothes and a good portion of my hubby's. About how many hangers would you say there were?
  12. Loved reading your report. Even though we have not booked this ship, I loved looking at your photos, especially your food photos. Everything looked fabulous!
  13. Love reading your posts. Sounds like a great cruise. Glad to hear you enjoyed the food onboard the Connie, as we will be on it in Sept.!
  14. Question: I saw on the daily itinerary that there is a 10% VAT applied to all purchases while in Spanish waters. If one has already purchased a premium drink package, and orders a drink, will the VAT show up on my charges?
