  1. I got a Move Over offer for a UK cruise and I live in Canada. I took it! Went to the UK and had a land trip. Next year, same itinerary cruise was free, OBC credit was the price of the first cruise and we were upgraded from a balcony to a mini suite. The left over OBC was sent to me in about four weeks after we got home. Best deal EVER! If you can, take it. You won't be sorry. Before COVID I was offered a move down offer. Give up my balcony and take an inside cabin and get a full refund. Took that too. I sail on Princess a lot.
  2. We did the British Isles cruise and it was one of the best cruises and I've done more than 50. If you book it, go in August and attend the Edinburgh Tattoo out of Glasgow. It is spectacular!
  3. Air Canada flies direct from Miami to Vancouver three times a week. I just took the flight and it was excellent.
  4. We've been told a few times the MDR is not open on embarkation day. However, we visit all the dining rooms and one has always been open. On Grand Class ships they make it Botticelli as it's harder for people to find! Love the MDR embarkation lunches!
  5. I was on the Crown late September and we were in L304. We obviously had a brand new mattress and it was wonderful. Hopefully they are all being replaced. Botticelli restaurant was open on embarkation day for lunch. Joy in the reception area was wonderful. Such a lovely personality. The ship is in good shape and the crew and entertainment were outstanding!
  6. I was on the Crown Princess in Alaska where they say the signal is poor. It was 3 Mbps all the time. I was able to download, upload and watch You Tube. Someone I know saw a movie on Netflix. Works for me and I'm happy it's improved!
  7. Canada Place can berth three large ships. We are on this cruise and it was a very smooth quick embarkation. We arrived at 10:45 and were on by 11:30. We had to drop our luggage off at the north end of Canada Place, went upstairs stood in line for 5 minutes to get our medallions, down to security where there was no line up. US customs had the kiosks, no line at all and we walked on the ship.
  8. I just got back from Celebrity Eclipse. The Classic Beverage Package is pretty limited. I suggest you check the list and perhaps upgrade. Basic internet is basically useless. If you want to post a picture or anything else, upgrade to Premium. The speed was 3.5 at the highest. I thought satellite would be faster, but it did work.
  9. I board the Queen Elizabeth on Monday. Does anyone know if they have Starlink? If so, how is the speed?

  12. We are boarding soon in Vancouver. Our boarding time is 14:15. Do they let you on earlier? We usually arrive before lunch.

  15. We had a 12:15 to Canada from LAX on March 18th. We booked with Princess EZ Air and took the shuttle. Got on the bus around 9 with lots of time at the airport.
  16. Today I had a reply to my Facebook message to AQ Voyages saying it was being investigated. I sent them my email address, my reservation number all everything they needed. I received an email from them saying my refund is being processed and it could take up to 10 days. Thank you American Queen for helping me in this refund! I'll post when I get the refund. I'm in Canada so I won't be surprised if it takes 10 days to show up on my credit card.
  17. I got this message too. I sent them a DM on their Facebook site. No response. They didn't email me on my posted email either. Customer service???
  18. I haven't heard from American Queen so I called reservations. Refunds are not processed until 60 to 90 days after cancellation. When you book they want the full payment, yet refunds take 60 - 90 days!!!! I will update when I finally get my refund.

  20. I had to cancel a Great Lakes cruise due to a conflict. I really didn't want to but I had to. I was going to rebook, but decided to eat the penalty and get a refund. I called and they told me it would be a "priority". That was five weeks ago. Any one have any idea when I can expect to receive this? I am NOT happy and will not give them money again.
  21. We just got off Discovery Princess. We had a reservation for 5:30. Line for people with reservations went up the stairs from the Ketchikan Dining Room. Most nights, long line for people with reservations. Why don't they give 5:30 people a table number so they can get seated and make room for later diners! DMW is a mess and frankly I'm fed up with it!
  22. Update: My friend went to the Captains Club Host who helped her with departure at the port. They will take a cab to John Wayne Airport, because that was the fastest flight home. I called Helping Hands at SNA and they gave me a number for them to call when they arrive and will have help from curbside to the gate. I have not heard anything from them today so I'm assuming the MedEvac was another passenger. Thank you everyone for your help!
  23. I got an email last night. Their cruise ends in Los Angeles this Saturday but they were going to Palm Springs for three weeks. Therefore they needed air fare home and help off the ship. I haven't heard if they've gone to the Medical Center, but I sent the info last night about the Captains Circle Host. I haven't heard back this morning so I'm hoping they are getting onboard assistance. I thank everyone for their ideas. Hopefully Princess will help them onboard. I will update the outcome.
