  1. That is a VERY old joke! The rest goes “ah I see the problem now. Do you still have the box it came in? Yes is the reply. Good I need you to get it and box the unit up. Ok but what is wrong with it? Nothing, you are just too F}#% stupid to have a computer!!!!!”
  2. I’ll bite, what does she eat? Might be easier to help if we knew.
  3. Your genie should be able to give you a show schedule prior to cruising. Just ask when they reach out to you. But understand that the entertainment schedule is pretty fluid these days. Even when we boarded, changes were made throughout the cruise. Be sure to mention the birthday to your genie!
  4. My prepandemic cruise was booked January 2020 for a March 2021 sailing. I got at least 3 price drops prior to April 2020. So at least a couple of those were before the shut down. My understanding was that if you canceled or moved the booking to a different cruise, you paid a $100pp penalty but not just for a reprice. Looked at some old cruise records and was also able to reprice October 2018 cruise without penalty.
  5. Certainly wouldn’t come close to Star Class. That is a whole other level of service. You do pay a hefty price for it.
  6. I’ve never had to pay $100 fee to get a price drop? Even pre-covid, I had a cruise booked that I got a few drops on, never charged a fee to do it and had non-refundable fares. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
  7. Totally honest question, why would it be necessary to bring a full water bottle on board?
  8. Boy it looks like my October Explorer cruise has gone down BUT I can’t tell for sure because the JSs are sold out. All lower categories have dropped. My TA says she called & they told her “No drop for you!”. Wish there was a means of checking myself. Lots of drops reported 🤷‍♀️
  9. If you are sailing Star Class, you don’t have to do pretty much anything. You will have a Genie to do it all for you. They should reach out several weeks prior to get your wants/needs/preferences and then take care of it all.
  10. We drive to Maine in the fall every year for our anniversary in early October. Would not go after mid month. It can be warm but more likely cool to cold and that’s on land never mind being at sea.
  11. There is a subset of Catholics who reject Vatican II and pretty much every change since (the “modern” church). They believe, among other things, that the Mass should only be celebrated in the original Latin. And the Pope does not preach in Latin unless he is speaking from the Seat of Peter. When he preaches, he usually does so in the language of wherever he is.
  12. I thought I was a small ship gal til we sailed Harmony. I loved her! Now my minimum requirement is a Royal Promenade. Looking forward to Explorer in October.
  13. The MDR is used to working with picky eaters. There is always a plain chicken, fish, pasta dish available. Adults can order off the childrens menu if they wish. Sauces can be had on the side or not at all. Side dishes can be moved from one dish to another. I too am an Uber planner but I’ve taken this worry off my “plate “ 😁
  14. Yup this is pretty much what you can find in the app.
  15. The Catholic Church does not forbid us Catholics from being vaccinated. Indeed Pope Francis has strongly encouraged getting the vaccine. So I don’t know how/why one would be eligible for an exemption based on being Catholic, which BTW, I am. And, yes, the Vatican’s Office of Doctrine is the body which interprets Church Doctrine and the Pope, divinely elected by the College of Cardinals, yup his opinion does count.
  16. Menus come & go. I have an 8 day on Explorer. Some days I can see 7 days worth, some days, it only shows the kids menu for several days. So far I have not seen all 8 days.
  17. Not sure why it would be necessary to do away with traditional dining? Although we don’t partake, a great many do. Once the staffing issues have been resolved, is there not room for both?
  18. It never ceases to amaze me the answers the phone agents will give to get you off the phone! When in doubt, just make something up!
  19. Sorry, but at least you have time to get the necessary test. If you had shown up at the terminal and they saw only one shot, you would have been denied boarding with no way to fix it. BTW, I would be having a stern conversation with that pediatrician when I got back!
  20. When hubby and I got our first dose, they immediately scheduled our second before we left the office. The same with my son, daughter and 2 grandchildren. Did they not do that for your child? Have you had 2 shots? Not understanding why you’d think your child only needed one shot to be fully vaxxed even without the cruise issue?
  21. Pfizer & Moderna both have always required 2 shots. This is not new. Can I ask what on the App indicated clear and then not?
