  1. Why would I get this message: “Please check back or we’ll assign seats at the airport.”? I used FF miles to book Economy. I don’t really care where I sit for this short flight, but should I be concerned about getting bumped? I think that when I booked, there were three seats remaining. Thanks. AA6120 next Tuesday Philadelphia to Quebec for cruise on Wednesday.
  2. Check - in for Panama Canal was available for me a couple minutes ago.😊
  3. On the Celebrity web site, choose dates between November and January, sailing from Baltra, and use the filters for ship (Flora), and cruise and land vacation. There are 10, 11 and 16 day cruise and land packages.
  4. If you have the time, consider doing one of the all day tours to Mt. Rainier. https://www.toursnorthwest.com. Amazing scenery. Also, I can recommend Shutter Tours for a nice tour of Seattle and Snoqualmie Falls. https://www.shuttertours.com
  5. No resolution when I called this morning. Still waiting.
  6. I will post if I have any success. No solution from Celebrity today.
  7. This has never happened to me, and I have sailed six times since last July. I spoke to a gal this morning, and she put in a trouble ticket to their IT dept. They are supposed to get back to me in 24-48 hours. ( I think that’s about as likely to happen as “your call will be answered in approximately four minutes.”)😂
  8. I think you’ve just been lucky. I had three flights recently that changed my seat as I scanned my boarding pass. One was a complementary upgrade to first from comfort + on Delta (yea!), another changing my aisle seat to a window seat on American, and yet another that moved me from Comfort+ into Main cabin on Delta (grr). Was told to fill out a form to get the difference in fare refunded.
  9. Same here for our Sept. 30th cruise. Took all the personal and health info, but the part that allows you to choose a pier check in time shows “ come back later.” ☹️
  10. I think the balconies may connect. https://www.cruisemapper.com/deckplans/Celebrity-Apex-1587/deck10-5192
  11. I could be wrong, but I don’t think that Chase pays for actual medical expenses unless they are emergencies. They cover things like hotels, flights and cruise costs as part of trip delay and cancellation coverage. You missed their 20 day deadline to file a claim anyway. ( page 34) https://static.chasecdn.com/content/services/structured-document/document.en.pdf/card/benefits-center/product-benefits-guide-pdf/BGC10979_SapphirePreferred_VisaSignature.pdf I think that the timeline you were given by United Healthcare does sound normal these days, unfortunately. As long as you have opened a case with AON, all you can do is wait to apply for their remaining 20% after United pays their 80%.
  12. Lose the car and spend the day hiking. https://beyondak.com/trips/mendenhall-glacier-trek/
  13. I’m sorry. I was looking at their service to EWR.
  14. We are staying in Brussels a few days before our river cruise that starts at Amsterdam at 3:30 pm. Can I safely book a train that leaves Brussels in the morning the same day that the cruise begins? Are the trains reliable, or should we cut short our stay in Brussels and leave the day prior to our cruise? Thanks.
  15. It looks like they have started service again. https://transbridgelines.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Newark-To-Newark-7_11_22.pdf
  16. I wanted to say thanks for the information. We did do the train and walked from City Centre station. We had one large suitcase and a couple carry-ons. It was an easy, mostly down hill walk to the Hampton Inn.
  17. July 6th we got our tests at the Shoppers Mart on West Pender. My phone wasn’t working to schedule an appointment so we walked over and one of the pharmacists ran our tests as walk ins. $100CAD for two but showed as $78 on my Chase VISA.
  18. Whale next to ship just leaving Icy Strait Point, and ( cheating a little ) Sea Lion Vancouver Aquarium.
  19. Will try to add more pictures when I can reduce size.
  20. Taken from our 8th floor balcony last week between Juneau and Skagway. Just dumb luck. DD had her camera out looking for spouts.
  21. I’ve taken the train at least five or six times. IMO, Gold Star is worth it. I just consider the extra cost as another excursion. Adventure Class is basically downstairs and you take turns with the other AC passengers using the upstairs. Gold Star does have the meal and beverages included. ( We don’t drink alcohol, but for sure Coke was included.) They also come around with some kind of snack. Unless it’s something new, the RR did not offer transfers from the hotels in Anchorage. We were always able to get a cab for the early morning ride to Seward. I remember someone comparing Gold Star and AC as first class and economy on a plane. I would agree.
  22. Why would you think my question was unreal? Arriving two days before the cruise and wanted to find a place for a rapid antigen test. The drugstores that offer that are few and far between in PA, but thanks for the info.
  23. Maybe because we were flying first class on Delta, but we checked in a little after 8:30 for a 1:30 flight. No questions asked.
  24. We were among the first ones off the Millennium last Friday at 7:45. We were in one of the first black top cabs ( and ripped off for $50CAD, but that’s another story) and arrived at YVR just before 8:30 for a 1:30 flight. I had global entry, but my daughter did not, and I checked our luggage while she went ahead to security. Since we were at the airport so early, we had no problems and were both at the gate by 9:15. Then it all fell apart as our 58 minute flight to Seattle didn’t take off until 5:46. Yes, 9 hours In the Vancouver airport waiting for them to fix a door and then waiting for a flight attendant. The best laid plans….
