Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily. Curling is cool. I don't know much about diesel engines. Bullying is wrong and we should stand up to and end it. Good quote. I like oatmeal (raisin) cookies, I'll have to see what whole wheat ones are like. Maybe on the drink and wine (aroma of bacon fat?). I have been to Kailua-Kona. It's sunny and in the 50's! But a cold front is coming overnight and tomorrow will be 30's with a 20 wind chill. I slept about 5 hours. When I went to bed I tried laying on my back, and got the leg numbness and tingling in a few minutes (too early, I know). This AM I had symptoms, but definitely less intense. So I'm hopeful. One question I have is if I respond, how long does it last? I can ask the Neurosurgeon when I see her. I did schedule PT to start next week, but had to get a new script for it. Otherwise, I'm going to start working on the drawer in the DR buffet and server, getting rid of some things, before I bring anything into the rooms. The radiator still needs to be fixed, and a cleaning by the restoration people, so I don't want to put much in the rooms anyway. My new replacement area rugs came today, and the truck just pulled up to take away the POD my furniture was stored in while the floors were done. @lindaler Happy Birthday! @Crazy For Cats I just heard about that cyberattack on the news a few minutes ago. @kazu I hope physio went well, and good luck with the weather mess (yet again). @Nickelpenny Thanks for the photos. @StLouisCruisers Nice that DS and DDIL have a week in Madrid together. I was at the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. This ‘place of refuge’ was a safe haven for those that broke the Kapu laws, which in old Hawaii were punishable by death. If you reached the Puʻuhonua, you would be pardoned by Kahuna and given a second chance at life. The Hale o Keawe Temple, guarded by carved wooden Kiʻi.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu and @richwmn and maps @rafinmd. I'll celebrate 2Twenty2. I try to be humble. Spit Out? Ewww, unless it means giving up tobacco. 2 interesting quotes. I like the meal and drink. Pass on the wine. I haven't been to Helsinki. Interesting days. A margarita would be nice. It's rainy and cloudy here, but in the 40's. As I mentioned I was up and out early for my treatment. It wasn't too bad, some pain and pressure. This was supposed to be much more targeted than the prior procedure. Surprisingly the anesthetic took effect much faster than when I had the epidural, perhaps as it was right at the nerve. I'm good now, as it's mostly worn off, but my original pain is now back. So I'll see how it goes over the next few days. BFF just left. He wanted to watch the movie Rustin, as he doesn't have Netflix. I'll take it easy the next few days and schedule PT to start next week. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for letting us know what is going on with Annie @marshhawk and Chuck. Just a quick check-in. I’m back home. My right leg is numb and feels like Gumby. I almost fell to the ground twice. Thank goodness for the rollator. The steroids will take a few days to work, so once the anesthetic wears off, I’ll be back to the same way for a few days. BFF is here and just made me coffee since it’s hard for me to get around. I appreciate all the good wishes and prayers.

Sandi, prayers for them both. My Mother developed dementia. She was a schoolteacher, and such an articulate person. It was so sad to watch her lose herself. The last year and a half of her life, she didn't recognize me. The saving grace was that she became childlike, and wanted to kiss you or hold your hand. The fact that she was so sweet got her a lot of good attention from the nurses in the nursing home where she eventually ended up.

The censors didn't like the quote! I'll pass on the pesto, maybe for the drink and pass on the wine. I haven't been to Bitung. A good day in history. It's sunny but chilly. Currently up to 30F. Not much new here. I had a pretty good day yesterday with less pain during the day. Of course this morning it was back to the usual battle getting down the stairs. I have no plans for today. I thought the furniture might be coming back in, but I've heard nothing, so I guess not. @StLouisCruisers I'm glad to hear both Morgan and Ren got to spend some time at their family homes; I'm sure that's restorative for both of them. Good morning. Thanks for the FR/Daily. This cow day is strange. I'm sure many of us will celebrate Drink Wine Day. Batteries are important and I have lots, but I prefer rechargeable devices if I can get them. Good quote. I'm not a big clam chowder fan, so I'll pass on the meal. Pass on the drink but yes to the wine. I haven't been to Marmaris. 4 good days in history. It's cold here. The wind chill was near 0F this AM. It's up to 27F, but still very windy. At least there's some on and off sun. I slept about 4.5 hours. I will try to get laundry done today. And get the trash and recycling out. Jaromir Jagr's number is being retired today, so I'll watch that, and then the Penguins hockey game. I don't know if my furniture will get moved back in tomorrow or Tuesday, so I'll wait to hear. @StLouisCruisers Lovely photos from Marmaris. Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu and @richwmn, and maps @rafinmd. Digital TV is good. I never heard of crab racing. I try to do things my way. Funny quote. The meal sounds good, although a bit carb laden. Pass on the drink and the wine. I have not been to Otaru. Interesting days, although a bad one for SC. We got about 6" of snow from last evening to this AM. I heard my snow removal people outside while I was still in bed. It is sunny now, 28F, and looks beautiful out there, especially if you don't have to go anywhere. I got about 4 hours of sleep. I took Benadryl at bedtime because I'd forgotten Claritin yesterday morning, and my leg was very itchy at the injection site last night. The floors are done and look good. I was able to walk on them to go up to bed last night, but furniture won't come back in until Monday or Tuesday. Then the wood and furniture all needs to be wiped down. And big decisions about what goes back in vs sold or donated. I will wait to do most of the putting back until after my procedure. @Nickelpenny Bon Voyage! I'm glad you made it in spite of delays. @cat shepard Bon Voyage! @StLouisCruisers I'm glad DGD Morgan is able to get away for a weekend. @RMLincoln It sounds like you had a nice day yesterday, which you deserve. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. No grouches around here. I'll salute Elizabeth Peratrovich who worked for equality for Alaskan natives. Fish fry Friday is big around here. Some stopped when the health dept made them get a yearly certificate. I've noticed prices have gone up a lot; it used to be a good cheap meal. Ture quote. The meal sounds good. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine if someone else pays for it. I haven't been to Rockland yet, but it's the first stop on my fall NE/Canada cruise. 4 good days in history. It's sunny and 31F now, but snow overnight. 2"-3" predicted. I wanted to go to the store this AM, but the contractor was here early to try to move the radiator out. It must be over 600 lbs and the 3 men struggled but got it out on the porch. Now the floor guy is here. So I'm in today and likely tomorrow. Good evening. The movers and the supervisor were here (he was standing in for my job contractor). Everything got moved. The supervisor was a very polite young man. After the rugs and furniture were moved, there was all manner of dust under them (embarrassing). The mover guys swept, but it still looked bad. The supervisor said he wanted to wipe down all the wood, and he did, including the floor. That was above and beyond! A little while ago my contractor called and the floors will be done tomorrow, then left to thoroughly dry until Monday. I had planned to go to the grocery store in the AM, but he wants to come early to move the radiator (I don't know how, when 3 guys today couldn't due to its weight). It sounds like a couple of inches of snow here tomorrow night, unless they're wrong like last time. @bennybear Thanks for the great photos.
