Good morning everyone! This past week has been kind of weird; we had very bad sky alerts for a couple of days. On the news they reported that the alerts mirrored the level of smoke etc. that NYC had. We had orange skies; very unhealthy for all. Much better today, woke up to 49F; the cold front blew the smoke away I guess. Thanks to @richwmn for the FR&D that gets this thread off to a good start. Thanks to all of the other departments contributors and everyone else that contributes here; there are alot!. I enjoy them all. Lots of really funny memes this week....I laughed right out loud at several of them!🤣 Nursing assistants are essential in healthcare and often under appreciated; I like that @rafinmd called them super heroes, which they are IMHO. Father's day will be celebrated here with a visit to the cemetary and lunch with siblings which is what our tradition is and has been since 1988. ❤️ Bon voyage to @Cruzin Terri, it is a much deserved vacation! Thanks for the idea, I have not seen that type of itinerary on the web site. I'll look for it. Right now I just have lists and post-its in a pile and in a folder to get to later. @durangoscots I just finished reading through all of the posts and see you are also just as busy with the Aus/NZ cruise planning. I would appreciate any tips you wish to share. It is alot!!! 😎

Oh my gosh, I thought it was just me! I am also on that cruise and my head was spinning earlier this week with looking at and booking some of the shore excursions. I said to myself, I am overwhelmed right now, and had to give my brain a rest, and I am not one to talk to myself very often! Agree, lots to keep up with and organize. A personal spreadsheet is a good idea though not an expert at Excel...🙃 @Cruising-along glad to see I am not the only one putting in the work for the Aus/NZ cruise! Any tips are always welcome. Hi Everyone! We also had smokey skies earlier this week but no where near what is happening on the East Coast; that looks ominous! Our skies cleared up after 2 days as it shifted towards the East Coast. We have had beautiful weather here the last part of the week; today is beautiful. We get some days of smokey skies every year from the fires in Canada. Thanks to the reliable contributors to the FR&D.Your contributions are fun and let me learn about things that I did not even know I should learn! I like Donald Duck as I am a bit of a Disney geek; went to visit WDW just last month.☺️ I do like Strawberry-rhubarb pie-I will look for rhubarb tomorrow when I go the the farmers market. Nice reminder to make a pie, rhubarb seems hard to get if you don't grow it yourself. My parents had a rhubarb plant in their garden but dug it up when it got old and the leaves were too woody to use. It came up every year after that, for years, in the same spot; they could not get rid of it! Must have had very long roots. I was a medical scientific writer before I retired; glad to see writers have rights, didn't know that! I have not been to Korcula; the pictures everyone has posted are beautiful! It looks like a place I want to go to. Bon Voyage @ocean sounds (missed it earlier this week) and @Nickelpenny. Safe travels too. Prayers for everyone, especially those with challenges, health and other things. It breaks my heart sometimes to see how difficult things can be right now. I try to be grateful. Good morning everyone, Not much going on here this week; the big event was a dental appointment. In keeping with yesterday, I have never met a dentist I even liked, personally and professionally; that is all I am going to say about that! 😜 IMO, you are lucky if you find a dentist that is good. @1ANGELCAT I am so sorry about Ninja. He lived a good long life. We always will miss them no matter how old they are when they pass over the Rainbow bridge. Two lost baby kitties in a week is too much for anyone to bear. Take care. Caron

I was just on the Bliss in March, out of Miami. I had some wine in my carry on. The security people sent me over to a separate table to put a stcker on the bottle. They looked at my card and wrote my name on a list. I did have the bev pckg. This happened in the terminal. YMMV.

@*Miss G*, just saw this thread, I am a bit late into the trip. Love your spontaneity! It sounds like your travel to your cruise port was a bit challenging. Travel now days is not for the faint of heart. I would have cried at the train station, what a mess! Glad you made on the NS without issue, she is a great ship. World Redhead Day hits very close to home in my family; all of my siblings have red hair but I do not. Both of my parents have red hair in their families and my Mom had red hair. I take after my Dad's side who also had blondes. I also inherited other things from him, like allergies. @dfish so glad your surgery went well and you are home. Hope your uncomfortableness goes away quickly! @1ANGELCAT I am so sorry about the passing of your sweetie baby Fluff. Beautiful kitty!
